She said that when she was a puppy she kindof looked chocolate and I think had coarser hair...but she grew to be a light blue and gold with a silky coat

I have a chocolate baby, but I wouldn't recommend the person I got her from to anyone. I too would never had paid the "rare" or more expensive price. I actually paid $1500 for mine and I never would have paid a penny more. All in all she is a wonderful pup, she has a great bone structure and seems so far to be healthy and believe it or not somewhat calm. I understand the upset over someone breeding a non standard color, however there are breeders out there trying to get the chocolate yorkie recognized. I for one hope to see them in the show ring some day on their own. I hope that you are able to find a chocolate baby

I do believe you are correct actually, I remember her specifically saying that London was a chocolate, but her color's changed to a more standard look. My guess is that she didn't have a liver colored nose.

There are a handful of people on here who have chocolates.

I looked at her past threads and she did buy London thinking she was a chocolate but she ended up being standard color

Hey guys!
When i bought London i thought she was a chocolate, her and her litter brother were born brown with a light colored nose and hazelish eyes. Her nose is still not completely black but it is like a dark brown/off black color if you look close. Her eyes are also still light. As she got older she got darker in the body and less chocolate. She is now like a standard color except if you look closely her back hair is not black but is still a dark brown, but it looks black except you can see it better in person when she is next to Sophie and Teddy. Her head, chest and leg hair is blonde now. So i really don't know what she is, she looks standard but is still not completely standard cause her hair is not black. Both her parents were standard colored and her breeder said it was the first time she had babies born her color and she didn't know what color she would grow up to be. I wanted a chocolate in the beg. but now i don't really care. lol I love her color. Here are pics of her so you can see the change.
