Plush Puppy products can either be bought online or at a dog show. The Seabreeze oil, the primary poster is using until she can get to GNC for Almond or Emu Oil. |
[QUOTE=eaglez28;1212399]Well, I tried Mardelins Suggestions on my Puppy Stormy. I must say that I see an improvement in getting those nasty tangles out. It's gotta be the Oil & I left the Conditioner in for 10 minutes instead of washing it out right away - smoother hair on all 4 of my Yorkies. I didn't have the Almond Oil Yet, but used my Plush Puppy Seabreeze Oil. Works Great!!! My Isinis Brush on order, used a vent brush & metal comb for now. She looks a little Oily right now, But that will dry out by tomorrow. If it helps with those nasty puppy tangles - You should see my show dogs.....they look like little grease monkey's when at home....that's the price you pay when you're trying to grow great show coats...they don't like like show dogs every day....they're either in oil or in a bunch of wraps.....but, they are allowed to be dogs. |

I agree. My show dogs get bathed every 3-4 days. No brushing in between. I have stared using a leave in conditioner instead of oil. Seems to work better on my show boys. No flaking! Have not heard of the brush......but of course will order one to add to my collection of brushes & combs. I could probably open a store. LOL |

Question on this Brush I ordered Quote:
|

I've been using it for ages....my mentor This Time has been breeding/exhibiting yorkies and finishing her first of over 100 Champions since 1972 passed down her info to me. It works for me, as it has for her, no breakage and I have no problems growing coats. |
Natural, nylon, porcupine needles...I don't care. I just know it works great for puppy fuzz and also for my adult's coat when drying! |
Thank you Quote:

I have some CC Gold Series Pin Brushes that I use for the ring. I also use a Spornette Ionic Brush for those static days.....much easier to use it without using any anti stat and carrying too much in the ring. |
Tegamom1 and Eaglez28, Thanks for helping me... as a matter of fact, in the GNC website I saw that they sell Almond Oil to a store in Sao Paulo, so I can order from them...:woof: |

The Verdict is In!!!:bravo: :thumbs up Mardelin is a Life Saver!!! It has been 4 days since I bathed Stormy like Mardelin suggested. The results are Amazing!!! So - she looked a little oily - So What!!! It was VERY HARD not to comb her hair every night to get tangles out as i usually do. She was a little cold waiting for the conditioner to set for 10 minutes. But the warm towel suggestion WORKED!!! When I bathed her again today (4 days later) ONLY ONE LITTLE TANGLE!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: My little Stormy was starting to hate me after the torture of combing those tangles every night!!! NO MORE!!! I will definatly continue this process with all of my Yorkies. Just waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my Isinis Brush & I'm set. THANKS SO MUCH MARY (Mardelin):ghug: |

In the panhandle, south of Amarillo 120 miles. I was just wondering, my husband has an uncle in Baton Rouge. His family came from Louisiana. Got boudin and andouilli in the freezer. |

If I go get some almond oil, Do I spray it on after a bath? How long do I let it sit before I start to brush? And how much do I dilute it with again? Thanks so much! I have puppy fur issues :( |

No, use it as a final rinse....but, use a conditioner first, rinse out and use the oil as a final rinse...... |
Ya' ll have to get a Isinis Brush. It is amazing!!! I haven't even tried on the Yorkies yet. I used it last night to blow dry my hair. My Yorkies will have to share with me from now on. It was well worth the money!!! |
