3 Attachment(s) Well, on Saturday - I totally bombed. I think I really made the judge mad by starting off too fast ( I could not hear well in the ring - too many other noises) and the judge made me come back and then through the whole time in the ring she made sure I knew it. But it is good to eat humble pie sometimes. Today - she got 4th and did beat out one other. All the ones I competed against were professional handlers - Luke Enrucht, Agent had 3 of the 5 bitches entered, included the Stratford's (and there were two of them). And all but one was a lot older than Easy - so they had a ton of hair. Easy should do great in a few more months when her coat is completely down to the floor. Most of the dogs were about 3 years old and Easy is only 18 months. Here are some photos! The first one is me and Easy (how do you like her topline?) and the other two were the others in my class - open bitches. It was also great t see some YT members - Saleswman and Dazzlin Becki! It was soooo nice to match a face to the name. T. |
I can't see the face - is the person in the second pic Luke's wife? Glad you got to meet nice people. It is hard to win over older dogs dripping in coat. Easy's day will come. You deserve congratulations for being out there!! :congrats: |

lwolfe - yes, it is Diane. Her and her group had four out of six in open bitches (my class) this weekend. It will just take time. But we got a lot of compliments by some real pros - some with 30+ years in yorkies. So I feel good. Thanks Kimberly!! Yea!! The photo looks so much better. You are too sweet. :luvu: T. |

Well....I think she did awesome.. Tina, you were great.....so good in fact I think you were the only one to even notice anything any different .......I saw the judge jokingly harrassing several of you guys during the show....I thought that this was the normal course of a show....lol And to let everyone know, Tina is as genuine as they come and she has beautiful yorkies.....I tried to swipe the newest puppy that her hubby was carrying around. Thanks so much for being so nice and welcoming to me today... I really appreciate it! |

Saleswman - Thanks so much - you are so nice and I had a great time meeting you. You will find you baby some day. As you saw a show is a great place to meet others that show and see the dogs in person. It makes a difference to see the dogs. And Becki - I am so sorry I didn't talk to you so much - I was sooo tired by the end of the show. Saturday - Judge was Mrs. Anne Katone Sunday - Judge was Mrs. Joan Goldstein On Sunday - I had a great time and the judge going over the dogs knew what to look for and did a great job. The bitch Diane had - was very nice! Dripping in coat. :thumbup: This will be great experience for Easy until her coat touches the floor. Then it will be her turn. I think she looked very nice and has what it takes to be an AKC champion. So we will continue to go. T. |

lwolfe - yes in post #16 that is my Tsa-La-Gi baby. She is a doll and what a beauty with personality too! She is really something special. It was so funny how Shirley found me by finding my baby (Gigi) with my hubby. Shirley walked right up to him and asked if she was for sale. LOL Becki - I hope you don't mind the photo. I wasn't even looking in the background. I just saw Vicki and the other and it looked like a nice picture to share. I was there both Saturday and Sunday and couldn't believe you drove all that way for one show. Your Southern Gentleman was beautiful - nice color and silk and a very beautiful face. You'll do great too. See ya soon! See everyone - you can make friends at shows and have a good time too. We get tired, we have good days of winning and some days where we do not win, but all in all life is good! :-) Tina |

Great Show pics that you show here! I know what it means to be in a class where the other dogs are all older, have the same problem at the moment with my girl, she´s 25 months old and I have to enter her in Open Class. Mostly all others entered are 3 or 4 years old and their hair goes down to the floor all around. The hair of my little girl Any also goes down to the floor at the body but not in front and on the head. But I also think her time in the ring will come, if not this year than next year after puppies. |
I would love to know how you keep the coat during whelping and rearing a litter. I have noticed girls I have left in coat tend to thin out considerably during the pregnancy/nursing process, and have since given up and just take the coat off prior to whelping. Your "secrets" for keeping up a show coat through pups would be much appreciated.. even if I'm not showing a girl, I still like to keep them in coat if I can. Quote:

Shades of Orange and Red are generally used, depending on the dogs coloring..however some have shown in black bows as well...I've not been this "brave" but it is stunning. Quote:

No, lol..I don't mind the pic. :) I actually was meeting a friend to pick up a new bitch, and visiting with Rainy's breeder, so it was a multi-tasked trip for me. I wish I had been able to come all 3 days, but had out of town company visiting. Unfortunately I didn't get to get my new bitch, my friend has a girl due to whelp and couldn't leave..so a few more weeks waiting. We had a nice visit with Rainy's breeder though, she is also Beaux's co-owner and sire owner to both...was worth the trip just to visit. Becki Quote:
