:):) | I think some "show people" forget to enjoy what they are doing and why they are doing it. They take losses personally, and very hard and don't want to help because they see everyone as a threat. Every judge has his/her own opinion and every dog shows better on some days than others, You just got to roll with the flow even tho it is hard sometimes. I once had a judge notice that I was not thrilled taking a 4th. with my Longhaired Dachshund, who the four previous days had won 3 days and reserve 1 day. He actually said, " I DID write a book of standards." I couldn't resist asking if he'd read it! Needless to say, I didn't bother showing under him again. I think that 99% of the time owners, breeders, handlers and even judges are very nice and will help, especially a newbie, (or an oldie that has become a newbie). |
