| Exmoor Line/Moonlight Line We have been wanting to purchase a show prospect for a few years now. We have been quite impressed with the Exmoor line from Indiana. We would like to know if anyone has personally acquired this line and how they like their quality. We also have liked what we have seen of the Moonlight line from Michigan also. Thank-you all in advance for any help you can offer us. |

| We are located in Golden Beach Florida. We have received the Yorkshire Terrier Magazine for years and have admired the Moonlight and Exmoor lines. We have also had the priviledge of seeing the quality of their dogs in person at several shows. |

I believe that I have in one of my older Yorkshire Terrier Magazines a picture of one of your champions Pat. I will have to take the time to look it up!

| Thanks Mardelin, I talked to the lady at Evenstar Yorkies back a couple of months ago. Tx2Stephn Yorkies is the other show kennel here. Sonja from Stehpn is the one that sent me to a breeder here that doesn't show, but is VERY reputalble. Linda (Fancy's breeder) doesn't think she wants to get involved with all the politics, etc, she's heard goes on in the "show world". Things do seem to have changed in this area since I showed my Longhaired Dachshunds back "before children". I tried getting help on show grooming the ears, but was told that she "had learned from her mentor, and had promised never to tell how it was done or she would be dumped by the lady". ?????? The other, Evenstar, just seemed to busy, but with 20 dogs at home, guess that's understandable. I showed my dogs along with many other breeds for others, worked with and for, some of the top handlers in the country to learn all I could and found people much more willing to help than what I find around here now. Oh, well, it doesn't discourage me, it just encourages me! I've read everything I can find on grooming the ears, so I guess I will just continue to take a little more off each time till it looks right. Practice make perfect, huh! To everyone, I LOVE YT!!!!!!! You guys are GREAT!!!! |

I don't understand why the lady wouldn't help you with ears. I can understand grooming secrets. But, I for one don't believe that telling someone what products you use on your dogs is going to give someone the winning edge. You either have a good dog or you don't. What is it you'd like to know? I'm more than willing to help. I will explain to you that I've not been showing for an extremly long time. But, I have finished 3 Champions in a year. Private Message me if you'd like and we'll go from there. Mary

| TegaMom... You have got to be kidding.......a reputable breeder would not tell you how to groom the ears of a yorkie because her "mentor" said she was not allowed?????? I am absolutely appaulled.....what is the heck is this world coming too......a person cannot help someone else for fear of ???What????, competition......? Isnt that what the ring is all about.... I understand your frustrations....I too showed other dogs years ago......and I cannot remember having as much difficulty then....I go to lots of shows to watch.....and listen....and I do just that..... Maybe the "newbies" to showing should form a Club......and then we can find one Mentor.....and then all help each other with info, and all the other things that the "veterans" already know. Sounds like a plan to me..... |
