They are all beautiful.....are you going into showing and or breeding? |
for now showing |
It is impossible to pick a show prospect at 3 months. Do you mind if I ask why you are going outside the U.S.A. to get a show dog? I know many very reputable breeders here in the U.S.A. that have high quality show dogs. What is your experience with showing and grooming Yorkies? Do you have a mentor? I advise you to use caution because I have heard that some of the lines from Mexico have health issues. Are the tails undocked on the pups? One of them looked like the tail was undocked. Of course you can show a pup with a full tail but it is harder to finish a dog them. As for which to buy, I feel that if you are new to showing that it would be better to start with a male because with females you have to start dealing with their heat cycles at around 7 months or older and that can effect their personality. Is the breeder requiring you to sign a contract? What kind of health guarantees to they have? Investing in a show dog and showing is a huge expense. It can be very rewarding but it can also be very risky. I hope you keep us updated on your progress. |
i did some research but not much but i just love his puppies and there lines are amazing yes i have to sign a contract |
i got a female 10 months ago but did no turn out for show so i have been saving up for another puppie |
Can you get an experienced exhibitor to help you with this decision? There are still so many dishonest people in this business. You can blow through a lot of money buying pretty dogs that are unsound, or otherwise being deceived. It's easy enough to get pretty dogs if all you want are show ribbons and titles. It gets trickier if you're going for soundness first and foremost. Sincere best wishes!:) |
That's my breeder! Ask him. |
