new girl in town

I loved looking at the pictures of Coco and she is sure a show girl, you have done an amazing job with her. I know it is not uncommon in the show world to keep your dog with the handler but it would break my heart to be separated from such a lovely little girl like Coco. I imagine you have both grown quite attached to either other, what will happen when she obtains all her points, will she go back to her owner.

Thank-you so much for your kind words. Coco has already completed her Canadian Championship and we haven't earned any U.S. points yet , so she will be with us for a while yet. Her breeder/Mommy has many other beautiful yorkies that she is busy with - I am a very lucky guy to have her, she is a very promising young lady.

I will be showing Coco as a special this fall and next year, and hopefully if she does really well the year after that. She is so young still .I'm sure it will be hard to let her go, but there will be another "up and coming star" in the waiting and it will be Coco's time to do her next job- be a Mommy. I'm sure she will have beautiful puppies- maybe some future starts themselves

I too handle a show dog for his owner, it is very hard for the owners, but we understand one day they will go home to their real moms. We love them and take the best care of them while they are in our lives. That love, for me never leaves my heart.

You do get attached and it is hard to let them go, but you go into it knowing that one day you will have to. The little boy I'm showing for his breeder will definitely be hard to let go one day.

It takes a special person with a good heart to do what we are doing. You sound like me one day, my heart will have a big empty space, but knowing he is back home with his family, is enough for me to say, I was the lucky one to get to have him until it is time to go back home.
