| Cotton Candy Coat Help HELP!! my yorkie has a cotton candy coat. i brush him all the time and have tried so many different shampoos. I hate to cut his hair off, but its ALWAYS matted especiallly where he wears his collars, harness or any clothes. Its like the hair just wraps around it self and I can't get it untangled so I just cut it out. He has a very, very thick cotton candy coat. HELP!!!! ps TIA

| If you have a true cotton candy coat there is little that you can do. I have yet to find a shampoo and conditioner that will cure the problem and make the coat be like silk. Best and kindest thing is to look at a short cut for you baby. |

| There is a shampoo and conditioner that Avon has called "Advanced Techniques" and you want Straight & Sleek.. I have a couple modified coats and I love using this on them.. I also know people that use this on their yorkies that have the same type of coat as your male.. Hope it helps.. Melanie |

| My Chachi has a cotton coat and we keep the hair on his body shorter and let the face grow out a little. To help with the matts when I condition his hair I comb or brush through his hair with the conditioner on then rinse. I brush again with the detangler. This gets the matts out for the time being. You have to do this about once a week to keep them matt free.
