Grand Champion pts a bloody headache

I've read and re-read till I'm blue in the face. Did Razzle get a major win for GCH pts" I've attached the actual counts etc from Sat in VA.

Sat Razzle took BOB
Class Dogs Males – 2
Class Bitches - 3
Specials Bitch – 1
Specials Male – 1
Special Razzle – 1

The 3pt major splits at 7/9 count, reading the GCH pt literature to calculate BOB Gch pts, you add all class dogs and bitches and specials together. That would give him a 3pt major.

Does anyone really know or should I call AKC?

I don't know anything about the point system, but I will cross my fingers for Razzle.

I wish I had known he was in Virginia! It is a big state, however, so maybe the show wasn't nearby.

Oh dear I just never thought to let you know..da gee... what a space head I am! He was in Doswell have no idea where that is..

He got BOB three days in a row at Hamburg NY and a group 4 too. IN Doswell a BOB and a BOS for the two days.

I think he needs maybe one point or so to finish his Gch.

Thanks but I think he is not a Gch yet. I just hope we got his final major win, and then just inch ahead point by point. lol His new handler has done amazing with him; shown him one wkend in Canada with Group 4 and Bob winnings, one wkend in Hambury with BOB three days and a Group 4, and then in VA with BOB/ BOS on 2 shows. She is doing an amazing job with him

I think so too, but reality is so confusing!. It is the last major he needs. AS you know 3majors, whatever number of Ch defeated along the way, 3 different judges, and 25 pts. How ever if so I think we still one more binkety blink point for 25pts. I'm not complaining at all. Four shows and this is where he is at.

So what ever the answer is I need to send him down to the States for another wkend of showing. No problem. Just I find that the AKC literature should be a little more transparent and easier for simple folks to understand.

Calculating points can be confusing. You can create an AKC account and maintain a list of your AKC registered dogs. It keeps track of titles and points including majors and such, so you can double check if you're unsure.

remember you also have to beat 3 champions of record 3 different days I think as well LOL...it's hard to keep count...Razz will get it soon!!! He's a GREAT BOY!

Yahoo. got to love those Gch rules A long time ago until his first two majors he beat 3 champions of record. lol lol This wkend would make it 5 or 6 ch of record.

As a former CGA it just drives me crazy that reads literature that is un clear and confusing. Trust me with me and my calcutartor we can surely count up entries.

How exciting for both of you! Razzle epitomizes the true Yorkie spirit, beauty, and what makes them such wonderful companions. He truly is a gorgeous and special boy. I'm so glad that he is home with his family, and I am so happy for you.

Doswell is only 30 miles down the road from me! I am so disappointed I missed an opportunity to meet Razzle in person and see him work the ring.

Won't be long before you celebrate his GCH title!

I'm so sorry that you missed seeing Razzle. He really is a magnificent little boy with the most perfect temperament. He is such a happy, friendly, fun little boy who has such a great attitude, ring presence, and personality. It is so impressive to watch his movement around the ring. I'm not sure how to describe it, but he moves so perfectly and has the most beautiful athletic body. It appears that his feet almost fly through the air while at the same time he is being so graceful. It's incredible to watch this stunning little boy. Gail has done an outstanding job with her boy. Razzle appears to have it all: outstanding looks, personality, and spirit, beautiful movement, a joie de vivre, and such a loving little boy. I'm sure he'll celebrate his GCH very soon, and I am already most proud of Gail and Razzle.

Someday I'd love to meet you and your beautiful boys, Kristin. You always have them groomed so beautifully, and you have always been someone I've respected here. Your love and devotion of Teddy and Max impresses me and I find it very heartwarming.

Sry again Kristin. He is next in States in March - York Pa. Don't know where that is in relationship to you - but it is a 5day show.
