Hopefully. And by now, there are probably calls to AC about his dog involvement and to check on them as apparently this person is known for his dogs as well.

As of last May, this person 'supposedly' only had one female yorkie. he has been trying to buy others but don't know if he has had success. his little girl was "borrowed' for the dog show in May to put against my boy. needless to say, even with her misssing about four front teeth, she won over him because he wouldn't hold his tail up or walk without being skittish and looking over his shoulder. That is the day I retired my guy from the ring and cut him down. LOL Unless he has acquired more dogs since then, he told us that was the only one he had. But i seem to vaguly remember something about he had a puppy. not sure tho. I know he was involved in Horse rescue and with some of the dog rescues around here.

P.S. just to make it clear, I am not friends or associates with this man. I have actually only spoke with him once and had him look at my boy.

He has several dogs from well known breeders and several out with a well known handler. All one has to do is verify through infodog.com past shows.

I can't find it. Will you please post the link? I knew he used to show a lot and had some dogs. but last year, he was running a pet shop out of a single wide trailer selling fish and snakes about three miles from me. That's where he looked at my boy. He mentioned he was 'trying' to get back into showing so if he has been in recent shows, he must have been doing well obtaining dogs. he is the person that embrodied the jackets for the Memphiss show also.

yes i showed the dog he did you a favor by lending her to me for you
and she was not even a show dog she had just had pups and yes he shows akc only not ukc and if you had watched videos you would have noticed several of his dogs being show at the ny nationals
if one keeps up with the akc shows the information is out there and not hard to find

I hope that this doesn't encompass the dogs or any other animals.

It use to be that contracts were unnecessary when a transaction took place. A person's word was all that was needed. In in the recent years Breeder/Exhibitors have had to tighten their contracts and have been very guarded on where they place their dogs because of people obtaining their dogs via backdoors. It now appears that background checks are going to have to be done on anyone one does business with.

I don't know the person but I hope and pray that there is more to this story than meets the eye. Since he rescues animals I wonder if it is possible these horses were in bad condition when he got them. I know it looks bad the animals standing in water but if they had an unusual amount of rain perhaps it was more than he was prepared to deal with.

I know some people can have a big heart and think they are rescuing an animal but sometimes the rescuers get in over their heads and the animals end up being in no better or even worse situation they were taken from.

I just pray the horses will be well taken care of.

Here is a short thread with a little info about him. It does sound like he was using the horses as a way to make money. If that is the case then I am really glad he got caught. It is sad for the horses.

I didn't say anything about you showing the dog. it doesn't matter who showed the dog. She beat Cash fair and square. No doubt about it. I had fun that day even if it did cost me the little girls entry fees and etc. Only show I ever had fun at. I don't know anything about this man and don't care. Apparently he has come into some good dogs since May. I have never been to his home or seen how he keeps his dogs so anything I would say would be gossip. All I know is about the pet shop and the situation when we showed .

Some VERY nice dogs, Dee. Let's just be thankful that this type of cruelty is not accepted and it is public knowledge. There are probably some worried (& very angry) breeders out there.

Read some of the Chronicle Forum... :eek::eek::eek: Sounds like more involved than just cruelty..... wouldn't it be WRONG to take horses from a rescue and BREED them???? Isn't this exactly what a rescue tries to PREVENT?????

Was at the dog show yesterday. There were several dogs that were showing that were owned by this guy. Beautiful dogs. Made me sick to my stomach. I know that a person is innocent until proven guilty, but I have read way too much.....
