NYC woooweeeee Excitment thread
 
:D:D:D Okay I just booked my flights, and am arriving Thurs evening around 7ish.

So anyone else booked flights? Dinner Thurs night anyone?

Also who is going to the banquet dinner on Saturday? They also have a raffle etc here is the link: Yorkshire Terrier Club of America

I'll be there for 8 days, and it's just a dream come true!! I always go but this is the first time I'm staying for everything.

Sounds like a great time! I WILL have dinner with you on Thursday, but you'll have to fly down here for it because I don't want to be in NYC in the middle of the snow season! :D (Don't mind the snow, but hate the thought of getting snowed in) ......... I keep saying that some year I AM going to the WKC dog show in NYC.... but it ain't happenin this year..... Hope that you all have a bunch of fun!!!
I am assuming that Razzie will be going?

Sure is, but after just flying into nyc, I'm not flying out again:D

if I'm not still on 5th Ave when it's dinner time and someone hasn't made plans for me already I'm game for dinner Thursday night! If not, Starbucks is across the street maybe we'll go have coffee or a drink in the bar or a late night hot chocolate at the Tick Tock Diner :)

We will be arriving on tuesday, call me when you get in Deemer is looking forward to it. He now has 20pts and 4 major toward his GCh title
May have a meet and greet in my suite one night

Ok Gail! These next 3 weeks aren't coming fast enough for NY!! I'm getting so ready to see everybody!! I keep talking to my friend Kim from Florida and Betsy from Florida and Nat and I can't wait too see everyone!!! OMG it can't come quick enough!!
I get to finally meet Melodie from Florida this is gonna be the best year yet!!!

Me two just did my entries today. Yorkie Mom 06 is going too. I'm going to have a cheat sheet cross ref Yorkie Talk names with real people names lol.

LOL Gail! At least you won't have to have a cheat sheet for me LOL...I'm horrible with screen names vs. real names! I normally remember real names better!! I did my entries last week for the specialties! I'm more excited about seeing everyone and their yorkies than I am about showing LOL...I have to think about other things since Radar retires from All-Breed shows after the NYC. But when one retires hopefully another one starts :)

Y'all sure now how to make a girl pea green with envy : ) I keep telling myself... maybe next year lol. But I am planning on going to Texas this summer! My daughter recently moved to Austin so I can kill two birds lol.

Hope you can make the Roving! It's gonna be GREAT! That reminds me I need to make my hotel reservations for SA for the roving. I love that circuit...it's HUGE! After the Roving and the Alamo Toy Show there are 4 day all breed shows! I dont' think I'll stay for all of it unless I have a client yorkie other than that I'll just be at the Roving and the Toy Shows that week. It's a long and tough circuit!

You'll do fine :) I'm just ready for NY right now and the Roving can wait LOL...I love going to NYC!! That is my favorite specialty!

If I can do Las Vegas , you can do Texas ! Las Vegas was my 10th dog show ever. I learned so much there and can't wait to do another Specialty....I would really love to go to NY next year, I'm going to book the New Yorker right after it's over this year.

Hope you are right Carl! Because as of right now I have a big fat ONE under my belt lol. But we are doing several between now and July so hopefully I will learn a ton before I get to Texas.

You really will do fine, and you will learn a lot between now and then....and you'll learn a lot there too :)

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can give me info on the NY Progressive Toy dog show? I inquired with my breeder about the NY Specialty and she suggested I got o the Progressive show instead. Any thoughts?

I'd go to all of it! The specialty is much better in my opinion but if you live close by I'd go to all 3 events! Progressive is on Friday and it's all toy breeds and the specialties is on Saturday and Sunday and only yorkies. I'm sure on Friday at the Progressive the yorkies will show on Friday afternoon due to puppy sweeps being in the morning at the New Yorker!

Progressive Dog Show
 
The Progressive is an ALL Toy dog show, so you will see all the toys. It is on Friday Feb 11th, during the time Yorkie Sweeps are going on. Yorkies will show VERY late afternoon and NO yorkie puppy classes are offered
It is in the New York's Hotel Pennsylvannia
, 401 Seventh Ave & 33rd Street

is this event only for people who show their dogs? i tried to look up info on the website for prices and i saw info for people who are entering. i would love to go, plus its on my birthday !

No all shows are open to the public. There maybe a nominal entry fee for spectators $5-$10 or so. Plus you get to shop at all the vendors present (for free ):)

My room is booked, but alas I won't be going this year. I plan to wait it out until next year when I can enter my new Jack bitch in the Specialty. I am really sad about not going this year to see Vicki and Jack, but I figure to "do NYC" right I'd better save my pennies.

Well I am excited for everyone that is going!!! I've met the Razz man at a couple shows but havent' met his momma yet. :) Hope you all have a safe trip, the snow storms stay away for travel and you all have a blast! (which I know you will)
