				   | Ok here is the schedule. How early should I plan to arrive there? I am thinking have him all dolled up at home except for the bow so that I don't have anything hard core to do upon arrival. Well not that there is anything hard core yet since he doesn't have a long coat lol But arriving around 10ish... That sound ok? Or should I arrive when the doors open? I have visions of there only being ME and Wolfie in the 3-6 month division so I will have no one to watch lol. Is tequila for breakfast a bad thing before a show? I didn't get home from the barn til after 7 tonight, I have to help evaluate a couple of horses tomorrow afternoon and make sure I have everything together... why isn't there a smilie for a chicken with it's head cut off? I need one. Registration times: All classes 9:00 to 11:30 AM Junior Showmanship (Judging starts at 12:15 PM) Novice 8 and under 18 years of age Open 8 and under 18 years of age Conformation Classes (Judging starts at 12:30 PM) Puppies 3 to 6 months, 6 to 9 months 9 to 12 months Open 12 months and over Veterans 7 years & older

A shot of tequilla is fine....as long as you can walk and groom him. Take plenty of breath mints.....remember he can smell your nerves through your mouth.

Haha that is good to know but I think this time I will save it for my end of day celebration, either way doing well or falling on my face will be a learning experience Hitting "Chuy's" for a mexi-cobb salad & margaritas will be a welcome end to this week! I am excited and apprehensive all rolled together.

				   | You will do great! Go have fun with your dog. Introduce that squeaky before you get there so that you know he loves it vs is afraid of it. Puppies are almost always in love with all of them but there is the almost you want to learn about prior to. Just introduce it ahead of time. Don't wait until you are in the ring to find out. Just have fun. |

				   | He has a squeaky frog that he is nuts over but it won't fit in my pocket. So I am going to make one the size I need. Y'all are the best!

				   | Hi there! I'm just down the road from you in Huntsville! I've been following your thread because I'm hopefully goign to get started in showing also. My boy is 8 months old. My breeder is in Atlanta and I'm going on the weekend of the 28th to have him evaluated by her and to attend a show with her. We would have been doing this sooner but I had surgery this summer. If we do show him she's going to mentor me and I'll attend shows with her at least for a while. I would be a nervous wreck if I was by myself. I'm so inspired by you! Have fun this weekend! |

We have family in Hunstville! I will give you all the details when I return tomorrow evening. I am hoping things will work out so that I can go to Atlanta to watch. Don't tell Wolfie but I cut the legs and arms off of Froggy and sewed him back up so he will fit in my pocket..... shhhh Out of all of his squeaker toys I figured out why he loves him most. VERY high pitched squeak. Oh dang it all, I forgot I have to create a bait bag! Gonna be a late night. We just finished our bath and blow out and I swear of all times his lil legs look poofier than they ever have.... hope they simmer down while I sleep tonight.

				   | Awww. I'm sure Wolfie won't mind you "fixing" Froggie for him. Have fun tomorrow! I'll be thinking about you. I look forward to talking more later. Good luck! |

				   | Well we didn't fall down or anything horrible like that! It was fun but Wolfie was worn out, would not take a nap the entire time we were there and we just got home. We got there right at 9 for registration and he was so fascinated by everything going on around him that he would not rest. He was tearing so bad his lil muzzle or furnishings were completely wet. Looked kinda like a drowned rat lol. He slept in the car on the way home and of course they dried and he was cute again! He was the only yorkie there so he won his class and best of breed

That is what can be so nice with the show world. People helping out newbies. Topknots.. oh god I just shudder at them! Here is what I have learnt (finally) for me and topknots. I've bought the Tshirt, and the videos, watched, read, tried and tried, but the teasing and that pouffing thing, I just right now can't do. So, I now don't panic, I of course have him crystal clean, ironed, et al, I do the brushing of the head, I do do some teasing, now I just make a "clean" front, put the bow in (finally I've learned how to keep it in) and say Voila! Someone posted on here a bit ago, you don't win on your Topknot. For sure practice and practice, but when you have to next go in the ring, don't stress out about the topknot
