Oklahoma Yorkie Specialty and Toy Show
 

Good luck to all of you who are going to the shows this weekend in Oklahoma City. I hope our YT members do well. I hope someone is able to take some pictures and give us updates.

Friday at the Biltmore Hotel. Puppy Sweeps starts about 10 am. I have a dog in "open" that my daughter is showing for me.

Yes. He needs two majors to finish, and there are majors all three days at Oklahoma.

Anyone can go watch. They have some fabulous vendors that sell Yorkie/Toy breed stuff, and you can even buy a raffle ticket for one of the clubs gorgeous prizes. Last year I won a pet stroller stuffed with goodies. Oklahoma is a very nice town, and the hotel staff were wonderful. I couldn't go this year as I have a grooming business, and we are fortunate to be very busy this time of year. However, my daughter decided to go and promised me she would buy me a raffle ticket..LOL. I feel lucky!!!

You sound like me! I've never been to a dog show and I would love to go to this one. I just don't want to go by myself. I'm too chicken. :p I just emailed a couple of friends to see if they might want to go with me. :)

I am sorry, but I don't know the rules for taking a pet along ringside. I have seen some ladies with pups on their laps in the audience, but they could have been pups that were in Puppy Sweepstakes in the earlier shows.

Never be shy to come to a dog show! There is always spectators there. You won't be alone in that aspect. The vendors are good at this show and I love it being in the hotel!

Go and have fun. There will be many gorgeous Yorkies in the ring. Please applaud for my daughter when she goes in the ring she is only 15, but is a very good handler. She will be showing "Silkiss'd Let's Rock" we call him Tucker. He is such a sweet boy.

Which day do you recommend (Saturday or Sunday)? What time does it start?

I think I will come, even if it's by myself. I can't miss a chance to meet Radar. :) Didn't I read that Mary is showing this weekend also?

The Yorkie Specialty is Friday. Sat and Sun are Toy Dog Speciality (means all toy dogs will show in different rings) so Yorkies will show all three days. Not sure of the times though. Please cheer for my girl. She is showing Silkiss'd Let's Rock. She is only 15 but a good handler. You can't miss her she is five feet, ten inches tall.

I'd come on Friday if possible, if not then Saturday :) Please do come you'll really enjoiy it very much!!! You can meet Radar of course LOL even hold him.

I have to work tomorrow morning so I couldn't make it to OKC before 2:00 tomorrow. :( But, I will plan on coming Saturday. What time do the doors open? I don't want to miss anything. :) Oh, the Biltmore website will probably have that info. I need to go there anyway to find out where the hotel is located. I can't wait!! :D

I'm not sure when the yorkies show on Saturday as I haven't looked at my sheets lol...but you can go to Jack Onofrio Dog Shows, LLC and then go to show information and then closed shows and find the OKC yorkie and toy shows and it will give you a link to the judging program :) You'll really enjoy it! I love this specialty everyone is so nice and it's a blast to hang out!

Also a couple other toy breed clubs will have their specialty too. On Saturday and Sunday it will be the toy breed club that is having their shows so you can also see all the different breeds of dogs that are in the Toy Group.

There are always lots of spectators and there will be chairs at ring side for the spectators to sit in.

On Friday there are 36 yorkies entered. The puppy sweepstakes starts at 11 a.m. and the regular class judging starts at 11:30 a.m.

On Saturday and Sunday there are 30 yorkies entered. On Saturday the judging starts at 12:30 (after 9 toy poodles) and on Sunday the judging starts at 10:05 a.m.

I know who your daughter is!! I saw her in OKC last year and in NY this year!!! OMG I absolutely LOVE KIM Goldfarb, she is AWESOME!!!!! I'm excited to see your baby show! Your daughter does a wonderful job in the ring!!! Now I'm excited LOL.

OH yes you can't forget spending money! I just hope the regular vendors are there! There is one vendor that has wonderful beds for the doggies! I have many of her beds and I just love them so much! The vendors are really good in OKC! You'll really enjoy seeing all the toy dogs!! It's great!
