I'm getting so ready for the NY trip but I sure hope that I can get all my stuff together LOL...I've already shipped Radars box to NY and it should beat me there LOL...he has more stuff than I do and I hope I dont forget anything LOL...hes one spoiled dog...I wish I knew how to travel lighter LOL

Yes I have the break down for the ytca I just don't have it with me. I'm lazy and sitting in my chair with the lap top and the judging program is in the other room...I'll post it when I get up from my chair...LOL

I shipped his pen, beds, food, towels ect...but I still have his grooming bag and crate that I take with me LOL...I take more stuff for one dog than I do for myself LOL...he always has more stuff than I do LOL...yes I shipped so I wouldnt have to pay a huge amount at the airport...cheaper to ship ahead :)

I'm going to remember that because I was overweight when we flew out to Oregon - boy did my eyes open wide at what the surcharge was!.

Do you mean you air shipped to hotel? and they would keep his stuff for you until you arrived?

Hubby and I have a Dodge caravan and we are going to need to upgrade to the Grand Caravan - just too much stuff now with 3 dogs.

I shipped UPS ground and sent it out yesterday. The box was 53 pounds and I paid for to and from at one time and it was just $124 for shipping to and from and I got my return shipping label to put on when I ship it back :) My package should arrive on Tuesday and the hotel keeps it for me until I get there...I always put on the shipping label to the guest of my name with the hotel address :)

Well I too wish you the best of luck. If it means anything to you that judge gave me a class win with Razz at the Canadian National - and trust me I was the worst handler in the class!. She was so nice to me. And so gentle with Razz - she just loves Yorkies. When she asked me to take him around again she said now walk a little slower.

That is so awesome and yes Sandra Goose Allen is a very nice woman and she's judging the YTCA National :) Carol Duffy is judging the YTGYN club and Steve Keating is judging the Garden. I've shown to Sandra and Steve but not Carol...I love them both! I've won and lost under both judges :)

Awww thanks Lisa!!! You are very kind :) I know anyone can win but owner/handlers especially in my case sometimes have a hard time winning...I'm still not as known in the ring as say you and Vicki Edwards that are breeder/owner/handlers!
I hear CONGRATS are in order for you Lisa!!!! Congrats this weekend on going BEST OF BREED over specials!!! WTG!!!! That is awesome!!!!

It can sometimes be harder for a breeder/owner/handler, but it is NEVER impossible. Thanks for the congrats. We had a great weekend and got lots of good ring experience for New York. He is young and we really needed that.

Will be good to see you in NY BUT my flight was cancelled for tomorrow so we'll see if we can get out on Thursday...changed my flight till then and cancelled my hotel room for tomorrow night but hopefully I can get there on Thursday LOL

We are expecting 8 - 18 inches of snow from late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night/ early Thursday morning. I expect lots of flights will be delayed or cancelled. Travel safe everybody!

Well I know my flight for Wednesday is cancelled but booked the early flight for Thursday so hopefully by the time I get to my desitation at 3 everything will be ok lol...it's gonna be a long traveling day...I'm not a happy camper for having to miss even one day of NYC! It's my favorite city of all time!!! OH well can't control mother nature!

Does anyone ever show or attend the International Kennel Club (IKC) Dog Show at the McCormick Place in Chicago?

It is usually held in February this year it is the 24-26th

I have been attending for the past 4 years! I just love seeing all the show dogs and of course the yorkies are my favorite.

I would love to meet any other yt'ers

I don't think I can make it at 8 AM...
Well my Thursday flight was canceled but FINALLY got another one out on Thursday with asking then to re route me to Long Island just so I could get to NY before Saturday...if I had to go into Laguardia I wouldnt get there until Saturday so at least I'm gonna get there Thursday but it's an hour train ride from Long Island to the city and I won't get to the hotel until 11 at night but at least Im getting there LOL

Can you believe I asked for a favor from the guy from my elementary school to pick me up from the air port so I can make it for the show? (he lives in NY and he is willing to wait for as much as it takes...)
I feel desperate and I hate myself for that! But I REALLY would like to see the show! :animal-pa

Well so far its been a nightmare trying to get into NY but maybe 3rd time is a charm LOL...good luck getting there Yelna! I just want to get there so I can relax and just chilland not worry about picking up after everyone lol

I don't like plans changing myself but oh well, we'll both have to deal with it and hopefully we'll both get there...even getting there at night at least I'll be there for the main shows on the weekend!

what's going on? I looked at flights arriving at Laguardia almost all have been cancelled. yet the airport says in the general alerts on 15 minute delays? I look at weather for LaGuardia no big snow showing. I look at flights out of toronto all to nyc cancelled?
I'm going crazy I think. I'm not supposed to leave until tomorrow but still I'm worried.
