Wow! I'm sorry! I just can't help myself here. That is just plain mean to photograph someone and put it on a public forum. I don't care what country you are born in or how much freedom we have here the US, you don't deliberately humiliate someone. It takes a lot of courage to get up in front of all those people and yes, things happen like people fall or fly's are down or apparently butt cracks show but I'm just in shock that anyone would first off post it here and then try to act like it's the rest of us who are the one's that are wrong. We just all know that at one time or another that has been one of us and so we sympathize. The proper thing here is to apologize for your bad judgement and most of us will forgive you but to try to justify your bad taste and somehow make it appear that you are a victim is not going to garner any sympathy at least not with me.

By the way those were my words that somehow got misquoted as Elle's.....so, I think you should apologize to her......

Being born in a communist country then you know you have freedoms here but along with those freedoms comes responsibility. I think along with responsibility so goes good manners and tact. By posting the picture (which I never saw) you were not exhibiting tasteful manners nor tact.

Could you imagine the hurt the subject of your picture felt seeing it published on the internet?

The sad thing was that exhibitors in NY heard about it almost instantaniously...so, word travel's fast. They also know who posted the picture and where it was posted. So, not only was it an embarassement to the exhibitor, but put the person who took the picture in a position of unfavorability.

Yes, there is politics and there is a code of conduct in the dog world, not matter what breed you participate in. If you chose to participate in this sport, you should treat your fellow exhibitors with respect.

You didn't have to be the messenger. If you hadn't have taken the picture, it would have been taken light heartedly, without the embarassement. I know as several instances such as this have occurred in the Specialty Ring. Well known exhibitors in embarssing moments are later laughted at jokeingly. But, pictures were never taken and plastered over the internet. A very thoughtless action. I guess some people relish in other's misfortunes.

There is no reason for you to be afraid and I don't understand why you would be.

All hat is being told to you is that what you did was not appropriate, distasteful and disrespectful. That posting a picture, that you took on the internet is not proper. If you can't get that or how to be respectful of fellow exhibitors, then the show world is not for you.

Do you not get it, the picture your refer to as silly, the subject was embarrassed, humiliated and hurt by your publishing the picture. How would you feel if someone posted a very embarrassing photo of you on the internet?

I'm not sure you understand English very well. but this is not a Local Forum it is read the world over. So what you post here can be read in Russia, Tibet, China, and India..

there is no reason to be scared. What we are trying to do is educate you, on what is acceptable practise in not only the dog show world, but in North America in all venues.

I feel that you know that the internet is worldwide. Perhaps standards of behaviour are differnt in your country. We are trying to show you what our standards of behaviour are in this forum

I really don't think she gets what she has done. Otherwise she'd have apologized for posting the picture and to Elle. She sees nothing wrong with it. I don't understand the reason she felt a need to post the picture that she refers to as a message. A message of what?

It is even more perplexing is in a ballroom full of gorgeous dogs and accomplished exhibitors, why someone would be focusing on something such as that. I know the first time I went to NY, my questions were coming out like a machine gun. Why is that being done, what dog is that.....why are they doing that, what is the judge doing......what's next?

You had no right to do that to our fellow breed fancier. None whatsoever. I'm not convinced you didn't use a zoom on your camera to do it. It's sick.

You said you may quit this breed. People have to bend over in all dogs, it's part of being in dogs. There is lots of time spent down and up. People have to worry about being so much in the ring. You have been in it. You don't have any excuse.

Now you come back here full of more audacity? I feel bad for the little handler with the dog that you're so jealous of.

Yes, I remember that thread....there were pics that you posted there. It was an educational thread. However, this thread was not. It was a thread to celebrate yorkies, not to ridicule a fellow exhihbitor.

You continue to say that you are hurt and confused. I don't think it even enters your mind the hurt and insult that you caused the person you took the picture of and posted it all over the internet.

Yes this thread was a very active one at the time; if you look at the header it is about "what not to wear", an educational theme. Some pictures were posted there (by you?) that exposed women in unflattering ways, within the show ring.
The difference here with what you posted and I know it has been said before; but you posted on a thread that was all about the NYC specialty to share wins, to celebrate us being together, a picture, which by the way I never saw. I was at that National and was so focussed on the dogs, the way they moved and looked. I took plenty of pics and videos too. None of which showed anyone in an embarassing portrayal.

Too bad you missed the really big story. the story of Saturday's BOB judging. That might have been one to parley around the store so to speak

You owe an apology to the person whose pic you posted, and if you misquoted Elle to her. And by the way I heard no-one laughing at anyone in the show ring!

Freedom of speech is something we all have here in North America !! Not to be confused with you can say anything you want, and get (away with it), scot free so to speak. What you say on a forum can be commented upon, disagreed with, or supported.

I and others have tried to share with you what are the social norms within this democratic society you have elected to join. Listen or not, that is up to you. Bad behaviour is quite simply bad behaviour no matter what country you live in.
