Here's Lizzie 3 Attachment(s) Here's my Lizzie. She's getting prettier all the time but hates the table with a passion. Heights seem to scare her to death. Any suggestions? |
Oh she is gorgeous! Such a beautiful coat! |
She's beautiful....... |
She is very pretty. Good luck! :) |
Tami, she is beautiful. I love her coloring. Sorry i don't have any tips for you. Seems like when they get fearful it stays with them. Cash has gotten fearful of everything outside our home and nothing I do seems to help him get over it. |
She is a beauty!!!!!! |
Tami, she is very pretty. How old is she now? When you have her on the grooming table have you tried giving her treats? I think it will just take her time to get used to it. |

For what it's worth, my breeder suggested making the table a place of fun, toys and treats...supervised of course. She suggested no stacking or working...just love, kisses, playtime and fun. After a while...when or if she seems to forget the fear of the heights, then work on the stack. Just a suggestion. I have a puppy who was jumped at by a very large dog while practicing on the table at class....she is now very afraid at class especially on the table. We will be trying this ourselves:) |
do you have any pics of her when she was younger, like 4 months or so? I have a little male that is about 4 months old and his coat is kind of cottony except on his head and I am praying that it will change when he gets his adult coat. have you or anyone else on here have that happen? |

She is gorgeous!! I also suggest to make table time fun for her too, and also .... You can start with stacking her on a coffee table first since it is larger and shorter to the ground, then move up to an end table - higher but larger and then finally to the grooming table. Let us know how she does! :D |
What a pretty girl!! Have you thought of putting the grooming table on the floor? If you fold the legs under it you can place it flush on the ground and acclimate her to it there and build her confidence. Maybe even feed her on there. Once she is no longer bothered by it begin raising it a few feet at a time and working from there. Hope that helps! She is too pretty of a dog to be afraid of the table!! |
