Lexington AKC Bluegrass Classic
 
This is a huge event every year. I wonder how many of you exhibitors are coming? i was supposed to enter Cash but when he started dropping his tail, I didn't see any point in it. If you were to win any day at this show, you would be winning something. Yorkie entries are huge and there will be a major every day. Entries have already closed.

I know people that are going to be there - I would love to come just to watch. Sounds like fun. It's outdoors, right?

Dee, I know a lady showing a male in AKC shows and in the beginning he was not holding his tail up and he still got some single points. She has kept on showing him and now he is doing much better on keeping his tail up. I also know of a Guemart bitch that was doing the same thing and she finally came around and finished. Sometimes it just takes time and exposure. If he is really nice then don't give up on him. Are you going to watch? I hope someone takes a lot of pictures to share with us.

I am going a couple of days. Rose, kyblueyorkies, is showing three of hers. Barbara, I showed him UKC this past weekend. One show tail was all the way down. Second show, it went up then back down. he got points in his class but no copetetion win. he has pointed out.

Hi Dee! I am not an exhibitor, but did go last year to watch the Yorkies, and hope to do this again this year.

I am sorry you will not be entering Cash.

Would you happen to have a schedule for the show? Would love to come on either Friday or Monday and it would be great to meet other YT members. I haven't heard from Shelby&Seymour, but she did tell me earlier this year that she was also hoping to be there.

the show is wensday thru sunday this year the yorkies are showing at
1pn on fri ring 1 sat ring 12 at 12;30 and sunday ring 12 at 1;30

We will be arriving at the show on Wed evening and will be there for the rest of the week. Looking forward to going....... hope the weather is cooler this year. Lisa, PM me if you are going to be there and I will look you up!
There will be no show on Monday this year......... actually I like the new schedule better.... It seemed like there wasn't much action on Monday because many have to leave to be home on Tuesday.

Great...... I will look for you. We have a campsite this year but it is WAY far from the show area...... but you are welcome to come and chill before or after you show if you'd like..... or if you have to stay for group..... it will be a good place to get away from the busy area. We had a better place last year....

Aw, after Lisa was telling me about this, I was REALLY wanting to go! Unfortunately, we are driving to TN on Friday and won't be back til Sunday evening. :( I hope to be there next year....

Whoever goes, I want to see LOTS of pictures!

i am not sure who all will be showing i know it is a pretty nice entry majors everyday as long as no one pulls lol
yes my granddaughter will be helping me on sunday
she shows the dogs really nice
i will be there around noon on sat and around 1 on sunday which is nice do not have to get up at 3 am

yes Blu is one of them. he has recently earned his UKC championship too!!!!!!! he will hit the ground rearing to go!!!!!!!!

........... disappointing.... I just found out thru a dear friend here on YT that I WON't be at the dog show this year :(... It has always been over Labor Day weekend and that is when I had planned on going. (Which is NEXT weekend). I have been looking forward to it but it just isn't possible..... I have to be somewhere else this weekend.

Just wanted to ditto Shelby&Seymour's post. I also thought it was next weekend. So disappointed that we will not be there to root you on, Rose. Hope all goes great and please post pictures. :)

i don't think they moved the show up but Labor day is somehow a week later this year. it should have been this weekend. For future reference, the show is always the last weekendd of August. I just talked to Rose and she is on her way. it has been pouring the rain. barb said she has been wading in knee deep mud this week.

Thanks for letting us know the date. Do you know if it is cancelled next year because of some huge horse show or will the show be somewhere else?

Can't wait to hear how Rose did today. :)

The girl took Group 4 and the boy took a group 2. pretty good for a handler filled show Rose can fill you guys in on it .

It must have been since I checked show results as I always do on Onofrio's
web site and unfortunately no Yorkies placed in the Toy group any of the days.

i don't know. Rose will have to tell you. i don't really understand enough about it all works in AKC. I wouldn't think with both dogs being over a year old they would be in puppy matches?

So, it must have been in fun matches (a non pointing event), they can compete as long as they aren't pointed.
