[QUOTE=Yorkie_Mama;2592423]Isle of Dog I've heard and seen GREAT results with Isle of Dog products! I saw some amazing results on a yorkie with this product. I do recommend it although I don't use it Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |

Hi! I want to show AKC Yorkies sooo bad. I guess I am just looking for the right one now :) Wow!!! I just realized you own formosa yorkies! I visit your website allll the time. You have the most beautiful yorkies and yorkie dresses :) Do you think I should try to show Prosper or probably not? |
MY suggestion to you is take him to the handling class and go to the AKC all breed shows and have the show breeder evaluate your Prosper after they finish showing. to Champion a dog in AKC is much harder. Wish you best ! Quote:

it is hard to judge a yorkie by just looking at the pics. By Looking the pics you posted, He looks like he has very level top and very square body. he definitely has silky coat. He might have a coat that takes longer to grow into full coat. Where do you get him from? do you get him from a show breeder who has finsnished a dog in AKC ? does he have high tailset and elegant gait? His snuzzle seems to be longer.... |
I forgot to thank you for your compliments on my yorkies. Quote:

I think good tailset is important. You want the tail up in the ring Quote:

3 Attachment(s) Higher tailset is better than lower tailset. Here are pics of my Wawa, was ownned by me before, she is in her forever pet home now. You can see her high tailset.:D Quote:

I have a puppy I may show but he is still very young at this point to see if he is show quality. He "may" have a low tailset but it is "always" up. I saw a few in the last show that had high tailsets but their tails were down about 50% of the time in the ring and they still pointed. |
You are very welcome :) thank you for your compliment for my Wawa. I think she is a very pretty girl, too:D Wish you best showing your little and hope he turns out to be a pretty boy for you:D Quote:

UKC says practically the same thing. They , too, follow the club standard . COPIED AND PASTED: The tail is customarily docked to a medium length. The tail set is level with the topline, with the tail carried slightly higher than the level of the back. If undocked, the tail is as straight as possible, well covered with hair, and carried a little above the level of the topline. On an undocked tail the hair will be a darker blue than on the rest of the body, especially at the tip. |
wow...i never thought much about his tail. he holds it level with his back...and it doesn't have much fur on it...is this normal at this age? i will try to get better pics of him and see what you think. he does have a very straight back, but his legs are quite long and his muzzle is kind of mediumish i guess... thank-you sooo much for all the tips!!!! |
More pics of Prosper!!! 4 Attachment(s) Here are some new pics of Prosper. He doesn't generally hold his tail up... |
