Had to Share! 4 Attachment(s) Just wanted to up date on these guys since they are growing up so fast and I am just so proud of these babies. They all seem pretty nice to me, but I am going with keeping Rosie. I finally got a female that may be big enough to show. She is so sweet! Here are the boys first! Let me know what you guys think! And good luck to the ones in Louisville this week. How exciting! T. |

I take breeding very serious and am totally responsible for any pups I bring into this world. Reason I do not breed much. Before breeding, a lot of work goes into research and testing. It is A Lot of work, even so much before pups arrive. Breeding is not to be taken likely! I just wish so many others would do the same. All this work seems to be showing and I just hope I am doing what is right and have produced a really special bunch. When I see these guys run and romp around - it makes me smile. They seem to be very good movers so far. I think they have a lot of promise. I am also liking their form too - nice structure so far. Still keping fingers crossed that they continue. With our breed - it is just so hard and so much can change before they are fully grown. All we can do is hope for the best. The groundwork has been done and now just to watch them grow. I want to be able to look back some day and say - yes, I was going in the right direction and did well. These pups' line is a very strong line in form and in coat, so hopefully they will pan out. They certainly have the personality. I just love to watch them play! I will be so glad when they get the idea of the pee pad and potty training is a success! LOL! The schedule is down pat and they are very habit minded - I can count on them better than my alarm clock. LOL |
Sorry for the speech. I just get so frustrated at times of others. I will get off my soapbox now. I am though very pleased with this litter and really do hope they will turn out very well. It will be my last for awhile, until I get some of the others finished around here. The daddy of these guys leaves March 21st. I will miss him while he is out campaigning. Hopefully he will finish fast and be back home. If he finishes then both sire and dam of these babies will be champions. I also want to thank all the previous breeders in these babies pedigree line for the hard work and dedication they have made. Hopefully I will and have made them proud. T. |
Tina, I love your speeches. We can all learn from your dedication to the breed. I have been studying the puppies pictures and I just love them all. I know you are so proud of this group. I appreciate you sharing pictures and I will look forward to watching them grow. Best of luck in the ring with your male. I am sure he will be a champion in no time. |
Such beautiful babies!! Rosie is gorgeous and I love the leggy boy in the last pic on the first post!! I completely agree with you--I try not to go into the breeder section because it is so frustrating. Threads like "My 3lb Yorkiepoo is finally pregnant!" (an exaggeration, of course) are so common. Just because one has the dogs with reproductive equipment does not mean they should be bred. I really appreciate you and the other breeders on here who lead by example. I have the utmost respect for what all of you do. Breeding is such a labor of love in addition to all of the pre/post work (showing, health screening, research) that it really takes a professional to do it correctly. Congratualtions on your very beautiful litter! |
Love your puppies and your "soap-box speeches"!! Responsible breeding can not be stressed enough!!:) |
Your babies are absolutely beautiful! I am in love with them! |

These puppies are so sweet! We had them up in the bed this morning and they were so cute playing around and giving kisses! I just hope they continue to do so well. Here are photos of the boys I took yesterday. Still working on Ricky's stance. I will take some of the girls today. I drove across two states on Friday to drop off their dad to his handler. It took all day to drive - left at 5AM and came home at 9PM. I was able to catch a show though. Very nice yorkies there! It was hard driving home without him. The car seemed so quiet. I am already missing him. He will be in the ring in two weeks. I just hope he does well. His handler thinks he will. Keeping fingers crossed. T. |
Tina, your boys are so nice. Nick looks like a natural and Ricky looks like he might have a little stubborn streak. :) I hope their daddy does well and finishes quickly. Where is he going to be shown? |
Thanks! Yes, Ricky does have a stubborn streak in him, but I like that. You can tell we had a slight problem with trying to get him to stand still. See his muzzle hair - that was from me trying to keep him form jumping off the table to attack the cat! LOL When my husband took his photo again - he did not tell me his hair was messed up. Oh well! Nick does just what I ask him to do. Their dad's first real show will be at the Jersey Specialty! What a way to start. I just hope he can hold his own with the big guys. T. |
4 Attachment(s) Here is Bridgett! She is a doll! She will small but her size does not stop her. She so bubbly and active. She runs around here like crazy! :D Her teething is bothering her today, her one ear is looping down a bit. Yesterday it was up. I will keep a check on it and if it does not go back up tomorrow I will just add a little tape to it and it will be back up. Her ears are so small - it won't be a problem. I just cannot believe how much hair she has and it does seem like it will be silky. She is just going to have a lot of coat. Her dad was like this as a pup. The cat in the photo (last shot) is my little Momo. T. |
Tina, she is adorable. She appears a lot smaller than her brothers, shorter legs. |

There are a couple of others I like to read, but I can tell that you really know what you are talking about, and I like to learn as much as I can about yorkies. Also even if I never get into showing, I like to read about it . . . and again you seem knowledgeable! |
Your puppies are beautiful..... I always enjoy looking at your dogs and especially any puppies... Good luck to their Dad.... |
1 Attachment(s) Thank you! Stacy - I started showing way back in 1982! Wow, now that will make someone feel old. Luckily I was young - in my 20's. Here is one with my fur babies just before ring time and I am pregnant with my first child. Yep, yorkies were first. So I guess I better know something, but always still learning. With yorkies - you never stop learning. The person looking on with me is just someone checking out yorkies and she stopped by me to ask questions. Yes, there were people back then that would ask you questions before ring time. LOL I did not mind. You get use to it. |
1 Attachment(s) I just took this photo of Bridgett and had to share! She has really stollen my heart. It will be so hard parting with her. :luvu: T. |
