That was great! Thanks for posting that! Does anyone know why so many dogs, puppies, etc that were entered did not show??? There were many that were absent. Just curious? Thanks again for the links! |

2 Attachment(s) I am so wishing I was there. I was planning to go, but then my champion came into heat just as she finished and had won at two Specialites so decided to breed her instead of going. I am having fun with the pups though - they are 8 weeks old. If I had left my hubby alone to care for them, I think he would have freaked! LOL I have Bridgett in the litter that is so tiny - 1.3 pounds now. We have to watch her so her brothers do not gang up on her and seperate her at times to give her space. We did go to one show last weekend. He did really good for his first time out as an adult and there was some tough competition - one that is in NY and was in the Progressive Show and got 3rd. So we held our own and the judges did look at him a lot. Here is a photo of him now. And some people thought he might not clear!! I was pretty sure he would. I am just keeping fingers crossed he will do well when we send him out with our handler. T. |
I wanted to mention that I am loving the web cam and sweetyblue site - it gives up up to date information of the wins and love the photos - almost as good as being there. I said almost!! I do wish I was there. T. |

*** As I see Results "HONZA" is not finished so he cannot be shown on Westminster 2009 right? |
I went into NYC on Friday and got to see the sweeps and then I ran over to the Hotel Pennsylvania to see the Progressive. It was so much fun! I noticed that some people didn't show up, but not that many - I marked some of it down in my program because I thought there were so many that didn't show up - then I realized that she was judging them in two groups because there were so many of them. |
Here are some more Results |

I’ sorry! I have a question! What’s this all about? Westminster... conflict of interest? - Yahoo! Answers Is that a game? How can such a professionals didn’t have a “back up plan” but chose “get a chance" and being kicked? |
I am so disappointed . Our electricity went off right in the middle of the toy group judging and did not come back on until an hour later. Anyone know what Yorkie was in the toy group? |

I was at least able to watch the best in show judging. It was pretty amazing seeing that 10 year old Sussex Spaniel get BIS. They were all outstanding dogs. He is from Texas.:) |

May be I’m not clear enough with my question… I thought Westminster “king of the hill, top of the heap…” I mean really isn’t Westminster # 1 show in the WORLD??? I thought it’s neither a game nor a joke… I’m really sorry!! I’m just trying to understand! How can such a professionals can be such irresponsible!!!? |
Yelena, I don't really understand it myself. There is so much politics already involved in dog showing, I don't see what it would have mattered if he judged the two dogs those guys were showing. Maybe the judge did the right thing. I think those handlers should have had a backup handler to show the dogs for them. |

But how can it be # 1 dog show in the WORLD with such disrespect??? |
I'm so excited that Morgan won the 5 point major at Progressive! The winners dog was absolutely GORGEOUS!! Radar showed beautifully and Radar's picture is on the yahoo news at Westminster! I couldn't believe his photo was published :) I'm so excited for all the winners and Chandler was absolutely GORGEOUS! Having dinner with Kirsten and the gang was GREAT! I think this was the best year I've ever had in NY! Kirsten's new bitch special is the litter sister to Morgan so no wonder they are great dogs!!! Lamer is just stunning and Kirsten does a FAB job with all her dogs!! I can't wait to see Lamer and Kirsten at the shows!!! We all had a GREAT TIME!!! Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |
