She's beautiful - I think all your dogs are beautiful. :) |
Congratulations! She's a beauty for sure! |
Congratulations! She is lovely! |
Well done, ladies. Doesn't feel good to train and condition a puppy and then take it in the ring and have a judge award all your hard work! |
Thanks for the congrats and compliments everyone!!! I think if judges could get past her tail (which every yorkie is born with...go figure) then she would do very well in the AKC ring as well. She is very much my dream yorkie, I just love her! |
She is breath taking!Congrats!!! |

I guess it is hard for people/judges to get used to. We have a friend that has a beautiful boxer out in the ring with natural ears and is having a difficult time getting her finished, even with one of the top boxer handlers on her. Kiki actually has a naturally shorter tail, it is really only about 1-1.5 inches longer than you would expect it if it were docked, and docking it is just not an option. We will see what happens, I will let you know if we decide to take her AKC, I really do think it is time for AKC to be more open to it regardless of breed standards. I do know of 2 yorkies with full tails that completed their Canadian Championships rather quickly, professionally handled. They were from Germany also. |
Congrats Laura and Jackie! She is a beauty. Her face reminds me of my Fergie. If Fergie only liked showing we would be all set. You know I love all your dogs. So when are you coming to Michigan? I have your room all ready!!! Hope to see you girls soon. I need to come visit someone!!! |
Congratulations on your new UKC champion!!! What a beautiful baby!!! Only thing with showing a yorkie with a tail in AKC is, it's considered a fault not a disqualification just like a bad bite ect...but I've known yorkies to finish with a bad bite so give it a try can't hurt :) I'd rather see a yorkie with a tail win over a yorkie with bad structure and movement with health issues any day!
