that watched Show Dog Mom's and Dads - we don't act like that. I don't know anyone that acts like that. I didn't remember how ridicules the show was.

I understand - it's tv and meant for entertainment so they are going to choose the most colorful of personalities. Although at shows I've seen some exhibitors that aren't far from the same types of personalities.....and I actually enjoy them!:D

OK, I bitched recently because a judge put a puppy up over my dog.

LOL I watched that show when it first aired...had actually forgotten about it til last night!

I had dirty looks when my 8 month old took breed over 4 adults in full coat...but it didn't damper my smile! :) LOL

Strut finished his CH title at 12 months.

I was out having a beer with a judge (that was showing not judging) a few weeks ago and we were dicussing how a judge put a puppy over a ranked champion that day. We both had examples of beautiful puppies that finished young and then fell apart. He reminded me that his job was to judge the dog that day not what he was in the past or what he would be in the future.

Thats exactly what I have been told too.
It is about that day for the dogs/pups etc. They can't judge on what they think the future of the dog/pup will be.
Its all about what the dog/pup is that day.

LOL I didn't get to pay much attention earlier but I think it is about to come back on so I'll watch it more closely. I love the movie "Best In Show" so if it is anything like that I'm sure I'll love it! LOL We are all crazy in our own ways :p

I love Best In Show. It is does a pretty good job with us. I am always amazed that the actors got the "handlers run" down so closely. Christopher Guest movies are so funny. Have you seen Spinal Tap?

Hi all, I'm a newbie on here. I watched it last night as I was marathon sewing Cleo's first dress and I loved the gay couple with the little fox terrier puppy. They were so upset with the trainer. He had tears running down his face....lol

I thought the gay couple was a bit over the top. Whitening baby teeth and buying a show pup but not attending any shows to learn about showing. I saw alot of show moms in the mother of Adam. The sperm gathering with the German Shepherds cracked me up. The men's enduring patience with the dog obsessed women hit a bit close to home. All in all it was worth staying up til 11:00 for until my crew got me up at 5:00. I sat there and thought, "Oh my cow, I'm living that life!"

Well I thought it was all hilarious. I am going to be going down that path soon with my young uns so it will be fun to follow them even if most of them are over the top. The grooming show I will be following as well. I guess the bug has bit me hard and I will prolly be one of the obsessed ones.

I have been obsessed with this my whole life. When other teenage girls wanted a date for the prom, I wanted a "date" for the Group ring. You will have a lot of fun. I wish you lots of success.

It is so easy to be hooked...heck I took 3rd place out of 3 dogs my first weekend out...3 days in a row and I was hooked! Mom on the other hand took BOB her second day in the ring! LOL It is thrilling to win but when you are there with great people it is awesome either way!

Okay...so I'm watching this and the guys with the I think toy fox terrier are freaking out because the testicles haven't dropped and they are going to make them drop :confused: Talking about massaging and pulling them...what the heck?

First off - his reaction to that phone call.....that was hilarious!!!! Then about Liberace's testicles - I've heard of surgery to bring them down. But never massaging and pulling them.....does that work????:eek:

I can't believe we have kept that little piece of information quiet. If testicles have not decended or ""float", you can try work them down with your fingers.

I would have loved to see this show.....will it be on again???? Guess I will need to rent Best in Show! I have been really busy lately, and am feeling the fever to get back to the shows.....need to look at Infodog, and see where I can go......needing a fix.....LOL.

yes, you can massage testicles down if they are near where they should be and not high up in the stomach. This should always be tried before surgery is considered. problem is, a lot of vets aren't aware that they can be massaged down and surgery is the first thing people here. People that have been breeding for almost any length of time kow this little trick.

I was told to let them "hump" and that would help the testicles to drop. :p
