TeddyandTiffy | 02-15-2008 09:50 AM | Eyes I know this is for Showing but with all the people here that show their dolls I'm needing help on getting those beautiful eyes to not matt when their eyes discharge. Why do they do this? I wash them out with plain water and a wash cloth every single morning. What do U all use on U're dolls? Is there something we can buy to keep them from doing this so we don't have to put them through wiping every day? It makes their eye hairs so rough too and gets tangled & matted. I have 2 cottony coated babies 1 male and 1 female, then 3 silkies 1 male and 2 females. I have 1 gal "Sage" who has the "Redleg Gene" and her eyes are clear as bells, not a drop of eye discharge EVER...Does this "Eye discharge" have something to do with genes, coats or what? How do U all keep those "Show Dolls" eyes so dry and beautiful looking, they never look nasty. Now after I wipe them out they pretty well stay clean all day long. I'm letting ALL 5 grow LONG coats, I care for them every single morning and tend to pony tails all day long! Please can U help me to keep them so pretty like U're babies. |
