I can only use Summerwinds on a couple of my dogs but I love the product and wish I could use it on the other dogs that I had showed :( I think with Molly I might have to try the Lanolin instead of Summerwinds and she does have a thin silk coat. Harvey had a slightly modified coat and the Summerwinds didn't work on him but it works wonders for Cammie and Radar. I don't band because of the breakage even scrunchies can cause well at least on my dogs LOL I hope the new stuff works for you too! Just love those little individual babies LOL

I do love Summerwinds and it works wonderful on Radar and did for Cammie but I found with Harvey with a more thicker modified silk didn't work well and gave him flakes but not sure it was the product with a sensitive skin or it just didn't work well with his coat and dried it out not really sure but like I said it works wonders with Radar's coat! LOL

I think I'll see if they have any samples and try them on Sofie lol...At least I don't show so it won't really hurt to try it with Sofie then...It might kill me tho lol if she looses coat due to it. She has about 1/2 inch (Guessing looking at her just standing here in the room) before her coat hits the ground at her belly...I have to say Sofies and Weezies coats are fast growing coats...Sage and Galahads aren't as fast growing wish they was. Tami where did you order your Lanolin Oil at??? I might get some of that and try it on Sage and see how it does for her. I'm glad you had guts to nurse your babies, I sure didn't lol well I had 4 so maybe that's why...I couldn't take the pain of them doing it lol...Big sissy aren't I??? I tried with Jes but she couldn't do it and was dehydrated at birth so they told me to bottle feed. So I did. Yes all our Yorkies are little individuals like we are lol. Hugs, Lee

I order my #1 All System products from Browns Kennel supply if I don't pick them up at a show. I've found that Brown's seems to have the best prices. Here is the link: Pet Supplies and Show Supplies from Brown Kennel Supply, Inc.. Shame you're not closer I could let you have my Summerwinds stuff to try.

I'm going to go to the link after while still have to dunk Yorkies lol...Do you have the whole System or ????

I don't know what to do...I'm wasting so much money by trying so much stuff that it's getting bad lol...I have 3 almost full bottle of Vellus now...My cabinets are filling up fast lol. I just hate to buy full bottles and not use them. Keep teasing me about coming to your house Tami and I might just end up on your door step lol...Hugs, Lee

Tami there so many of the #1 All System Products ther at Browns site what in the world do I get for them??? What do you use on your Yorkies??? I hate to buy anything else and not use it. Hugs, Lee

I just bought some hair oil from Wal Mart that I think I'm going to like. There is a section with products for Black hair on the aisle with the hair color that has all kinds of natural hair oils. I got a herbal one but there are also Olive oil based ones. Olive Oil has a small enough molecular structure that it is absorbed into the skin instead of sitting on it like Petroleum products do.

Diesel is the same way. Every time I use Plush Puppy or Summerwinds his skin gets so irritated and what seem like chunks of skin slough off. Not only that but he is totally itchy and it takes about a month out of oil to get his skin back to normal. Even the mink oil seemed to do a number on his skin.

Tami, how is the all systems oil working? At this point I am tempted to use plain olive oil lol!

I have been using olive oil since the middle of May and am pleased with the results. I do not use too much, just enough to help but not oily enough to be a mess on the furniture and stuff. (But I was told to really oil them up and then put them in a crate for a couple of hours, then pull them out and rub them down softly/gently with a towel so they are not too oily.) With the olive oil I only have to do it once a week. I use Dawn to remove the oil before show days.

Oh....and it does not matter, you can use the keep olive oil. :D

Well I've only been putting oil on the girls top knots as they are rough little poos and pull out ANY thing I use in their hair to keep their hair out of their eyes...Weezie God love her, she looks like a wet sheep dog when I leave the room for a second...They just pull hers plum out...Sofie and Sage...Then she looks up at me so sad (Can't see her eyes at all as her coat is so thick and long!) as if she's say Mommy look what they did to me...

Sofie God love her too she has her top knot tore all apart, little shreds of it hanging all up by her eyes now...She takes her own out and will NOT keep them in...Sage is not bad tho, she pretty well will keep hers in but then here goes Sofie taking it out....But the good side is to both of them (Sage and Sofie) is that their top knots part in the middle and pretty much stays out of their eyes...Any help anyone...I would put them all in different rooms to try to break them of this habit but then where would I go??? LOL...It's a no win battle here...Hugs, Lee

Okay here comes the questions...Of course Lee has them :D What is the name brand of your Olive Oil? Where do you get it at? Is this cooking Olive Oil or ??? See I'm dumb when it comes to all of this for Yorkies lol. How often do you bath them when they are in Olive Oil??? So do you use a clairfying Shampoo too? Or just Dawn (Is this the blue dawn dishwashing liquid??) I've got to get mine back into some kind of oil as now they are matting on me BADLY...I don't wrap yet, don't know if we ever will as we don't show our babies YET...I just love the long coats. Thanks for any tips. :) Lee

I was just looking yesterday at Walmart in the same section....thought those products might be better as far as penetration goes....but, then I got really confused and went back and bought Neutrogena.......

Now I know I was not nuts, I may go back and try again....LOL
