Bettyeanne , You don't have to feel helpless because for me a little thing done + another little thing done = a little one happy in new home . I am proud of the little things you do for the little ones in need  . |
Lily Thank goodness you got Lily away from those people. It is an unfortunate reality that some shelters, rescues, and some individual rescuers are not the best just as in every situation in life. First of all, just so everyone is aware, ALL a 501(c)(3) really means is that an organization is non-profit and all donations are tax deductible. They do NOT monitor the activities of the organization. If I were you, I would contact Animal Control in the area where Lily came from and report this person who was not caring for her. Heaven only knows how many others are/will be suffering the same, if not worse, fate than Lily. Bless you for caring for this little one! |
Bettyanne what a sweetheart she is. Your not the only one living under a rock, I also thought rescue ment just that, to resuce not to abuse! Bless you and your friend for doing whatever you can to help these poor helpless little ones. I am sure she will clean up very nicely she has a very sweet little face. Add a pretty pink bow some good food and she'll be ready for a new loving forever home. Also sending wishes for Patrick that he gets back to his old self real soon. |

Bettyanne, I also wanted to say how sorry i am that your husband had a heart attach, and I will have him in my prayers for a peaceful and long life. I also know that you are doing so much for Trish just by being there, and giving her advice and support which is so important in the rescue business, it is so hard to see what people just give up on, it is heartbreaking to see a little girl in that shape, but when you get her back on her feet, you are both Angels that contributed to her recovery, a good friend is always such a great comfort in a time of need, so never undermine how important you are as a team in the rescue business, and how support and good friendship is soooooooo sometimes the difference between saving a life, or giving up on it. I have great admiremation for both of you!!! |
What a terrible story! I'm so hapyp to hear that this little angel is in good hands and on the road to recovery now. |

He is just the very best Vet in the state of Colorado!!!!!! I am so glad you also use him. I will be their on the 12 th to neuter 6 of my males, 49.00 each!!!!!! We will have to get together sometime, maybe on the 12th as i have to spend the day in Grand Junction!!! . |
You two are the best I used to work in Va with Pets 4 U rescue and I saw alot of things which caused my husband and I to adopt only rescued babies our last rescue was with a year and a half old Rotten Rottie he was a whopping 45 lbs when we got him we had moved to Maryland due to Military from Florida and got a call from a lady in florida who told us about this lil boy needless to say today he is in NC weighing in at 96 lbs and doing good, we couldnt keep him ourselves due to my health I can not do big babies any more just little ones which is why I got Nina my heaven sent baby girl she is 5 months old and weighing in at 5 1/2 lbs the vet told me she will be a big girl. do you guys take donations for the babies? please email me and let me know I can't do monies right now due to a move coming up next week and its only my husband working right now but I do want to help in the future if possible. Please post pictures of this little girl getting better .. I sat and cried when I read this which hubby is upset at me because due to my heart and cancer he doesnt like me upset. God Bless you both and all who rescues for the love of it not the greed of it. Dionna and Nina... |
