Damn Shame This is a damn shame. Not only is the whole story heartbreaking but my fear is that because they are so swamped that these poor babies will once again end up in a bad situation. 1/2 price adoption fees aren't always a good idea. It's a shame that they can't foster them out and have them rehabilitated first, then adopted out. A well meaning person may come and adopt with all good intentions but these dogs are going to be way over the common person's head. Puppymill dogs are like no other dog you'll have and it takes a lot of experience and time - sometimes years to bring them around. AND, the biggest shame of all is that this piece of sh.. gets away with it. His/Her not being able to breed is not enough punishment. I do understand though that sometimes this has to be done just to get the dogs signed over. If not then it can take years to shut them down. Elaine |
