She really does. She's happily chewing on a bone that my groomer gave her for being so good. :D She's really perked up since last night. She's going to make someone a WONDERFUL dog.

Too bad my groomer doesn't have any miracle grow for dogs :p She'll look even better when she gets a little fur.

I've been feeling her tummy today, and I don't feel moving or anything...
We can't keep her regardless - we're over the limit on pets. I just didn't have the heart to leave her in that situation.
Awww I bet she feels alot better now after being groomed. Did the groomer say any thing about her looking pregnant?

If the breeder gave one of her females away that she uses for breeding, she still could of breed her a year or two more. Im hoping she didnt get pregnant by another breed and thats why she decided to rehome her. and I hope im wrong. but you never know. she just looks so big in the tummy.

I just called my vet to make sure I could get her in tomorrow- they said no problem. I also asked about the possibility of her being pregnant versus giving birth 7 weeks ago. She said likely if she's given birth, she'd be skinnier (duh), but otherwise, she'll have swollen tits and such either way. She said the Dr will be able to tell but at home, I just have to hope she doesn't decide to go into labor tonight or something :p
Anyway - if I do still have her tomorrow, my Vet's going to check her out for me ;)

I came on YT this afternoon, specifically to check in on this post. I, also, am right in the the middle of finals (yes, I'm a geriatric college student), along with a side job of installing tile in a woman's house (I guess working an 8-hour a day job isn't enough torture for me!).

With my schedule, I can't see when I'd have time to even drive halfway within the next couple of weeks.

I don't want to say no, I just have to accept my time limitations right now. I'd be happy to help ease the pain on the vet bills a little, whether I take her or not. I'll pm you about that later.

Anyway, send photos. If it works out that you can hang on to her, or that no-one else worth a dang is interested, we can surely work something out.

She really is so adorable! She needs a cute little shirt to keep her warm. Poor thing was probably always shaved because they didn't want to mess with grooming her. :( Do you know how old she is? I just can't get over how pregnant she looks and that they told you that she just had puppies 7 weeks ago. I really hope that they aren't so mean to have rehomed her at the end of a pregnancy...talk about unnecessary stress for her!

I am praying for a home that will spoil her rotten!!! :thumbup:

Ah, I know the feeling - I'm a law student. I could definitely do without this time of year. Unfortunately, she absolutely can't stay here very long. We are over the limit in pets, and I don't have the TLC to give her with everything else going on. Pixie's having problems and surgeries, we're rebuilding our house and hopefully moving soon, plus I have to take at least 1 trip to East Texas for my daughter and just won't be here for her. I have a couple prospects though - just waiting on someone to jump up and say "I WANT HER!" ;)

Supposedly she's 4 years old, but her name is supposedly Molly, too. Take it as you will :)
She does look pregnant, but when I feel her tummy, I don't feel little puppies moving around. Assuming I have her tomorrow though, we'll find out for sure. They said the vet can tell by just feeling her...
I just hope we don't end up with puppies first. :eek: I've never given birth to puppies before! :eek: She doesn't show any signs of labor though - wouldn't she be uncomfortable and panting and such? She's been lounging around chewing bones, wagging her tail and hopping around.

did you see if you could express milk? I am so worried just having gone thru mastitis with one of my girls. i will be so glad when the vet sees her.

Are we talking mastitis... like what goats get? If that's the case, I've handled mastitis plenty of times in the past, and I can tell you this much if the symptoms are supposed to be similar:
I can express some milk, her udders (is that what they're called on dogs?) are not lumpy, hard, or warm, and her teets aren't overly warm either. Am I at least on track? What else should I look for?

I have been worried about the situation that she came from since I first saw your original post. Do you know if they were also breeding dogs that are larger breeds than herself?? I know this is far-fetched, but I really hope that they weren't in a hurry to get rid of her because they knew that she is truly pregnant and that she would need a c-section for some reason. I am sooooooo glad that she is going to the vet tomorrow.

I admit, I'm a little worried, too. I shouldn't have even brought her home, but I couldn't leave her. If we were home, I wouldn't be quite so worried about things, but we just can't handle much right now. When I brought her home last night, I was REALLY hoping she'd find a home today and be gone today or tomorrow... :xfingers:

I don't know- I didn't go to their house, they insisted on meeting me somewhere. When I asked why she was getting rid of her though, she said because she had too many dogs.

From what I can see from the pictures. it dont look like mastitis to me. I have seen that before and that dont look like what she has, what she looks like is a female that has had many litters and thats why her teets look like that, I have a Boxer that had 4 litters and her tiits hang like that also. If she had Mastitis you would see redness, hardness, it would feel very warm/hot to the feel. Im sure she dosent have that. She just looks pregnant to me, but I could be wrong. If I lived closer I would take her in a minute, But Im in Ohio.
And dont worry I dont think if she is pregnant she would be going into labour tonight.
