Oh Pat. I'm so glad for you!! All three are adorable. We should have coffee some time. We live so close to one another. You can see my Tia (Morkie) and my three Yorkies. Tinker is adorable!! This was Chris right? He is the little guy I kept looking at. Best of luck to you. Elaine.

congratulations on your new addition ... you look very happy .and the babies look fine ... gotta get another car seat though ...... the new furbaby will join in with the Malties and catch on to the routines in no time ... you have a good heart!

A couple of thoughts of what might be going on with this organization

1. They state they are an approved 501C3 organization (non-profit) takes well over $500 to have approved by the government. Note I am only saying it states on their website and I have not verified.
2. They might have shipped the animals out of the state so the breeder could never get their hands on them again...this happens a lot in large rescue raids.
3. Running a rescue takes a great deal of $$$ and having animals that are desirable helps the rescue operate for the less desirable animals. Yes, people even rescue has to operate with a cash flow.

Now having said all of this I just want it noted that this may or may not be a legit site just wanted to give you food for thought.

Yes - we must get together - soon. I just had a puppy party last week (9 little dogs), Tinker missed it, but he's here now. I have off Friday, Saturday and Sundays, if you'd like to come over, my house and yard is animal friendly and we LOVE puppies! Coffee is on....

I do know that I just got this little sweetheart - he's from a puppy mill for sure, he doesn't have a clue - about anything! My friend has had hers for almost a month now and he's really starting to come around. She said it'll take maybe a week for him to start to come out of his shell - he's never had a home, family or love before so he's not sure how to act. But I think he's going to be ok. He doesn't show any emotion and I can do anything to him and he doesn't move or complain. Right now he has a thin thermal hoodie on and sleeping on the back of the sofa on a nice warm blanket. Little does he know now, but he just hit the jackpot (for the rest of his life). ;)

He doesn't know how to act with all that luxury, a soft bed with warm blankets. They really don't ask for much out of life.

It brings tears to my eyes when I think about it.

I'm sorry, I ended up adopting him myself two weeks ago. If you really want a rescued dog, keep checking petfinder.com - you just need to be aware of all the special issues a rescue comes with. After a little over two weeks, Tinker is just starting to come out of his shell - he doesn't know how to act like a dog yet - it's pretty sad. He's home now and loving it more each day.

Hey, I just sat down to check my e-mails - but it's hard to type with this yorkie velcroed to me. He always needs to be right with me! He's doing really well though.

The potty training is coming along, but it's gonna take some time because he is adament about not being in a crate - of any kind. He walks on a leash now and enjoys the walks, he terrorizes the cat, and runs around with my maltese. Yep, he's going to be OK. I'd say life is good. I know we keep saying it, but we do have to get together.....how many dogs do you have? The next puppy party will probably be in the spring sometime, I'll let you know. Right now between three girls, we have 5 yorkies and 4 maltese. I think a morkie will fit right in! I need to read up on this forum about yorkies, it seems I spend all my free time on the Spoiled Maltese forum.

Questionable Rescue. All too often she has puppies, which in rescue is rare unless they are unhealthy, and it seems retired breeders. He looks like he's intact and a rescue usually doesn't adopt out pups that are.

Sniff....sniff.....I smell a broker

If you're talking about my yorkie, he was already neutered when I got him back in December. I may have posted a picture I had received soon after he was rescued.

I've had him for 6 months now. He is definitely directly from a puppy mill, he only loves me and is still afraid of everyone else, including my husband. Well actually, he just let my husband pet him for the first time this past week. He gets along with my two maltese, but he doesn't play with them physically, The malts chase each other and wrestle all the time. It's a sad thing this little Tinker had to go through, but he's a happy little boy now.

By-the-way, it only took two months to house train him....I think that's great!
