Need to find a loving home for my babies ASAP -- please help! NO ADOPTION FEE We are moving, and our new place does not allow dogs. None of our family members can take my babies, and I am so afraid to give them to someone else. I know this is a loving community, so I am hoping that someone will have a good idea or an open home in my neck of the woods. I am located in Southern New Hampshire, although I am willing to drive a long way for the right home. Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, parts of New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut are all great places that I can drive to drop these lovely pups off and give them a warm home. Karma and Boomer are 2-yr old neutered/spayed. Karma is female and Boomer is male. Karma is very housetrained, she has the occasional poop accident, but pees on a pad inside or will wait to go outside. Boomer is a little more difficult and does not do well in carpeted areas. Hardwood floors/tile/linoleum is PERFECT! They are both very very very loving and well-socialized. These two are truly my babies (I am crying as I have to write this), and I really need them to go to a home where they can play outside and be loved and get attention. Gentle children are fine, other dogs are fine if they are docile. We haven't had much experience with them and cats, but indoor rabbits and other reptiles, etc pets are fine. Please PM me with questions or ideas, or add to this thread. I will post below with links to photos of them that I posted a long time ago when I got them. Thanks to anyone that can help.....:( |
awww honey! I sure wish I lived close to you, My Lillie needs a playmate! I sure hope you find new homes for them and so so sorry to hear you have to give them up, that just breaks my heart! Please let me know if there is anything I can do! |
I didn't look down far enough to see that there is a rescue/adoption forum. admin: if you need to move this, go right ahead!! |
i'm so sorry you need to give up your babies. I live in jersey and i'm not really looking to get another dog or two, however if you can't find them a good home by the time you have to go, i'll take them and love them to pieces while we continue to look for the best possible forever home for them. |
I would take them in a second, but I live too far away. :( Good luck finding these sweet sweet babies forever homes. Will you place them together or do you have to separate them? |
man I was just looking at the map and you are WAY up there lol hmmmm I love a good road trip!!!! |
Photos Here are the links to some photos. Please PM me for newer shots of them, I don't have the folder on this computer I am writing from. Thanks.... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ghlight=boomer http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ghlight=boomer http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ghlight=boomer |
Thanks so much for all of the responses. They definitely must stay together.....they are not littermates, but have never been separated since they were 8 weeks old and we picked them up. I can't imagine how they would react to being apart even for a short time, right now they are napping on top of each other in the next room! :) |
I'm so sorry you have to give them up. Your heart must be broken. I wish you all of the luck in the world. I think I would suggest that you go to see a home and meet the family before giving up your babies to anyone you don't know. That way you'd know if what is being said is fact. |
How much are you asking for them? How old are they? |
Hi...I just PM'd you. My Best Friend and her Husband babysit for Roxy and TJ all the time! They would LOVE to adopt a Brother and Sister combo!! :) |
Can you tell us how big they are? My best friend (Jess) is very interested, but just wants to know if she will be able to carry them both at the same time and not hurt herself...hehehehe... B/c I tell her all the time how big my muscles are getting from carry TJ (6lbs.) and Roxy (5lbs.) |
Could you not find another place that allows dogs? |
I sent you PM...... |
Poor Little Babies So how much do these cuties weight? |
Awwwh!! I hope that someone from yt gets these two little love muffings!! They are sooo cute! |
Please let us know where they go. Best wishes & God's guidance in making this decision. |
I was thinking about this thread all night. I can't image how you feel. Maybe you can find another place that allows you to have the furbabies. You can tell that you LOVE them so much. Keep us posted and I will be praying that you can find a way to keep the little ones...and if not, we are all here for you to give you support :) |
:aimeeyork Hello- Have you found a home for your yorkies yet? Let me know as I am interested. Donna |
All the details, please read carefully...... Hi! 1. First off, there is no adoption fee. They are both free. :) The single most important thing to me is that they get love, attention, and space to play, so I don't need money, just the right family. 2. This needs to be a VERY long-term home for them. We've moved them once and it was very stressful for them and they didn't act like themselves for a week or two....it was scary. This needs to be as permanent as possible. 3. They MUST go together, absolutely no exceptions. :animal36 :animal36 I don't think they could live without each other...... If you are interested, please read the rest of this information carefully. I will give you guys every single relevant detail I can think of -- there is no reason to hide anything, because I want this to truly be a forever home for them and I know I cannot give them that. The reason we have to leave them: The area I live in is not pet-friendly, and we are being forced to leave the area we are in for job shortages. We did have a fenced-in yard, etc for them, but even if we find a city apartment that allows pets, they will be so restricted and will not get to play outside at all. Grass will be rare. I love these guys to death, and it would make ME happy to keep them, but it would make them miserable, and they are so young and deserve to have a secure home where they can have plenty of love, attention, and play. Here's the individual scoop on each dog: Boomer -- :animal36 male, neutered, 2 years old. Six pounds, give or take a little. He is the larger of the two. He was sick when he was 8 weeks old with coccidia and ringworm (the breeder paid for all of the issues, thankfully). He has since never been sick and never had any other health problems. He is very playful with new people and children, and he is great with DOCILE animals. He is not okay with loud and rough people or with other animals that are not friendly. He reads that aggression -- he doesn't attack, but will bark a lot at them. He is a TOTAL LAP DOG -- he loves to be pampered and pet and have treats and lounge around the house with you. He is the best kisser ever (haha) and LOVES to give kisses and love. Karma -- :animal36 female, spayed, 2 years old. Five pounds, give or take a little. Very healthy, never sick even once. She gets nervous around new people, but will warm up in 5 minutes, sometimes less. She loves to play with squeaky-toys (we'll have their favorites for you!) and play fetch and toss them around. She can jump SO high! She is the energetic one, though if you can wear her out by playing or going outside, she will collapse on your lap to watch TV and hang out. About both of them (tricks and tips): *They both LOVE LOVE LOVE to play outside, even in the snow. *They sleep together in a black crate at night, every night. *They go on pads indoors, but also will go outside if trained at your home. *Don't leave people food within their reach. They are good problem solvers and will get it!! *If you cannot have a fenced-in area for them to play outside each day, they really need to be walked outside every day for 10 minutes. They are not perfect on a leash, but will obey to basic commands and to their names. *They play together a LOT when they get bored, and sometimes it seems like they are fighting, but we've learned to just let them go and that they are having fun. Must be a brother/sister relationship! *They are not littermates, but were picked up together on the same day and have never, ever been apart. *They eat Beneful dry food and water.....eat Milkbones and Greenies for treats. I can't think of much else to say now. Whoever ends up taking them will get an earful and probably all of it written down from both myself and my boyfriend. I am probably a little overbearing with this stuff, but their safety and happiness is just paramount to me, and I want it to be that way for you as their new owner also. Hopefully, since there is no adoption fee, it will be easier for a truly loving family to come get them or meet with myself and Derek somewhere to get them. PM me for my number if you would like to talk more, or ask questions in the thread and I will gladly respond (I'll check 1-2x/day). I was thinking we had about a month to spare before we needed to do a pickup, but it is looking more and more like it needs to be ASAP. Thanks everyone for your help. I knew this should be my first and only stop for my babies.....:( -- Traci |

They are absolutely adorable!!!!! Wish you would consider a city gal to have them. I too live in an apartment and have no fenced yards. But lots and lots of LOVE. My concern would be the leash thing since in the city they must be on a leash. Can you email me privately w/ your tele#. |
