Bitty little Yorkie girl We have a bitty little thing who is almost ready for adoption here at the rescue. She will be getting a vet check this weekend and then should be good to go. She is approximately 1 year(closer to the lower end) and has a sensational personality. Seems to get along great with other animals and quite a little love muffin. I should be getting a final weight check at her appointment but I would guesstimate about 3 pounds at the most. I don't have pictures right now but can take some in the morning. Our adoption fee is usually $200, but due to lowering fees or giving away dogs to four Senior Citizens this past month we need to ask $350 for her, to try and get some money back to keep the rescue alive. I would prefer someone who can drive here or close to here . I WILL be checking references and asking questions. If intrested in little Darcy please PM me. I would also like to say that if you are anybody who Pm'd me before about other dogs and did not reply because you didn't like the breeds I had available. PLease do not even BOTHER to PM me on this one. IF a person is rude and can not take 1 minute to reply....I can not trust them to take the time and care for a dog. |
If I had $350 I'd be right there for her! Why is she in a rescue so young? Can I just have her? OK OK I understand why I can't :) but awwwwww I bet she is a baby doll! |
I wish you were closer...I've been looking for a small girl to ad to our family. |
OMG.. she is PRECIOUS...:dribble: Just waiting to see if the vet finds anything that we missed. She has already made best buddies with the other dogs here and even likes my cats:p |
Is she spayed? I guess there's no way to get her all the way to Alabama, though, huh? |
I didn't realize you do rescue! Lol, where have I been? Good for you! DH is convinced that we are not adding to our furry family any time soon....but eventually, I will win that one, when I do, I'll be in touch...maybe you'll have somebody just right for us! Good luck finding the little one a home. I'm sure the hard part won't be finding interested parties, but determining who to approve! |

Awww You don't play fair. I live in TX but just happen to be in MD right now. But I have to go home now ALONE (except for my husband & Little Bit). Seriously, I hope you find her a great home & I know you will. I think you are doing a wonderful thing. Now, could you just abolish all puppy mills too?:aimeeyork |
HMMMM While I can't get a pix until tommorrow... I can describe her. First of all TINY... very fine featured......ears definately UP....coloring..well uh.. I'm not an expert on yorkies but she seems to be the blue black with her head growing in the light er whitish kinda color....Oh yeah.. her back seems to be staying the dark color . I feel like such a dork.. I will post pix tomorrow:rolleyes: |
rescue Hi..sounds like she will make someone a great pet..please spay her before placing, 3 pounds at a year is a safe size. May I ask where you are getting the rescues to place?..are you a recognized Yorkie rescue? Not trying to start anything, but just wondering. |
I definately think it is safe to spay her. My little boy was less than 3lbs when he was neutered. My little girl is 2.5 lbs and she is getting spayed in a few weeks. |

I personally am shaky about spaying so tiny but I will definately speak with vet about it. I'm sure he knows more then me:p No I am not a recognized yorkie rescue. I rescue all breeds. I never know where they are going to come from.. I don't PLAN anything. Sometimes I get calls... sometimes people just show up at my door. The vets , shops and groomers around here know I rescue... plus lots of word of mouth that I am here. I take in sick or well dogs and try and do the best I can for them |
Where abouts in Pa are you? I am from PA too. meeshue |
Good luck Sherry !! I can't wait to see her ...how come you can't keep her yourself ? too many doggies already ? I agree on the spaying - too many people want tinies just for breeding now and at that price I bet you get all sorts of calls |

OH V, I always want to KEEP THEM ALL:p You know what happens TOO MUCH.. I fall in love and then keep them too long and then it is even HARDER to let them go. We had one girl here for months and months due to five broken bones healing and I bawled for a month after she left I was SO ATTACHED.:( |
I just PM'd you, I hope you don't mind? I am interested too! |
yorks Great work..are they all Yorkies or do you get many breeds? |

Actually I used to do all breeds or mixes or whatever, until a 200lb. Mastiff went nuts and hurt me ... so now I try and stick to medium and small breeds. I do however take a large breed once in awhile if I can be sure of temperment before I accept it;) |
Send her to Arizona!!!! Send her here... Wookie wants a playmate!:D Hope you find her a good home. There is no way I could let a little yorkie go after rescuing her... that must be hard |
Would love your little girl How close are you to Chicago? I could fly there and get her. I would love to giver her a good home. |
Pix coming... I need to charge my camera battery first:p I forgot last night to plug it in:rolleyes: |
hi.. i'm in RI where in PA are you? it would be worth the drive i would love for my girl snickers to have a playmate (she is 9m) and they would be close in age... did you already have alot of replies? i would love to be able to do a rescue this time but i have children i know that is usually a no-no for rescues... |
tried to respond to your PM Sherly but you seem not to be accepting any pm's right now? ??????????????? |
