Blue Bonnet Yorkshire Terrier Club Rescue is in the DFW area. We can help.....We are on FB... |
Oh I am glad there is another yorkie rescue around. So many of them show up around here. The dogs posted on this thread are already in a no-kill shelter that I work at, I just share them in case there is anyone looking for yorkies in the area. If I ever come across any that might need your help I will send them your way. Thanks for helping! |
New 1 1/2 year old male- Oscar 2 Attachment(s) Oscar was brought to Operation Kindness as a stray. He's a friendly 1 1/2 year old purebred Yorkshire Terrier. Oscar is very playful and loves to be cuddled. He came in very matted and had to be shaved down(we named him Oscar because his overgrown bangs made him look like Oscar the grouch). He didn't really enjoy his day of pampering and was a bit nippy- he will probably need an experienced owner to help him over come his nervousness around baths and brushes and people messing with his face. Oscar is a typical yorkie, sweet and stubborn and just the right mix of playful and calm. He would do best with older kids who know how to handle small dogs. He should be available Weds at Operation Kindness. |
Yorkie Puppy! 1 Attachment(s) Meet Tink, a fiesty little 4 month old pup. He is available now at Operation Kindness in Carrollton :D |
1 Attachment(s) Sorry it was upside down- lol  |
6/20/14 3 Attachment(s) Tot- 4 1/2 year old black and tan male - was with a baby and did fine. Was dumped in someones backyard and they brought him to us. First picture Baylee- 4 year old gold female. Very quiet and sweet. Would do better with older kids. Has one ear up and one ear down- very cute! 2nd and 3rd pic! |
Sweet dogs. Re Tot. Is there something wrong with his eyes or is it the lighting? |
Eye Looking at the pic again, perhaps it is just the whites. Sorry to bring it up if that is it. Hope the babies find homes soon. |
It was the flash on Tots eyes. Both those babies have new homes now, yay! |
Yorkies Thanks, I thought it may be a light effect. Wonderful news that they both have new homes. Hoping they enjoy their new families. :-) |
Update: Dusty 1 Attachment(s) Some of you may remember me posting about a puppy who was dumped at the city shelter with 2 broken front legs. It was touch and go there for a while but the specialist decided to let his young legs heal rather than do surgery. He is now 5 months old! Little Dusty has spent most of his puppy hood having to stay crated and not being able to play or run. He has lots of energy and is a happy little guy. He loves belly rubs and playing with stuffed toys. He is your typical puppy with just a few special needs. Due to his previous injury we would like him to go home with older children who will treat Dusty with care. He will need his new family to have a good relationship with their vet to keep an eye on him as he grows. Dusty is a sweet little pup who has had a rough start in life, maybe you will be the family to help make sure the rest of his life is spent spoiled and loved! Here is an old pic, I will try and get a new one, he is turning blonde and silver! |
1 Attachment(s) Here is Dusty! Available now at Operation Kindness. |
New 7/3 2 Attachment(s) 2 yr old Male. Beautiful! Sweet and happy go-lucky. "Tucker" |
7/17 2 Attachment(s) Sadie is a three year old Yorkie mix. She arrived here from another shelter to find a new family. She is a very sweet girl who seems quite gentle. She is fully grown and will not shed very much. She would be a good candidate for apartment living, as long as she gets plenty of walks. Sadie is friendly and calm, so if that sounds like the kind of dog you are looking for, come meet her today. She also may be more of a silky. Has long body and rougher coat but very sweet. 10 pounds. |
