I don't even know how I found him on FB but it must be God or fate so someone please save him...
I'm actually crying cuz he looks so scared. :(
He looks well groomed (current hair cut). Looks like a lost pet or abandoned.
I live in MD so no way I can help unless a rescue needs fee to help rescue him. I will.

This is definitely someone's lost baby. He is groomed. We need to flood FB, everyone!

He is not the only yorkie at that shelter! There are a few. We don't have space but I do know that they have been sent around to all of the rescues.

FYI: I have said it many times....Texas has yorkies in shelters every day of the week and there are simply not enough rescues to handle them all. It is a horrible situation.

Thanks for the info Linda, I just feel so helpless here, hopefully some Texas YTers will consider stepping up....

Why are there so many in Texas? Is it just because it is a big state?
Gosh I wish I lived closer and could help all those babies.

It is indeed very sad. It makes me sick. I get emails constantly about yorkies in shelters here. We also have a very large amount of owner surrenders.

Maybe the size of the state has something to do with it, but there are many factors involved. The fact that in most towns around me, it is not illegal to sell animals on the streets is also part of it. It is so commonplace to see people selling puppies along the side of the road. :thumbdown
