Atlanta Pet Rescue -5 Yorkies Atlanta Pet Rescue currently has 5 fabulous little Yorkies (4 will be available this weekend). Go check out Lizzie, Paris, Nicky, Barron and Conrad Toy Dogs I can tell you from experience that Lizzie is a sweet girl, I am so surprised she is still there. I have my volunteer shiff in the morning and I am so excited to see this crew. Lizzie is a favorite of the Saturday morning crew and I am sure the rest of them will also steal our hearts. Oh and also checkout Freeway, LOVE him. If you are in the Atlanta area and know anyone looking for a Yorkie that APR has a lot of them right now. |

Oh my goodness! They are so cute!! Paris is a baby doll!! I wish someone would let them all stay together. :( Wouldn't it be nice if they could have at least one of their fursiblings with them when they go to their new furever home. I wish I could go get her. DH says NO! I pray they find homes soon. |
They are so sweet. I imagine they are so cute together. They would be fun to watch and have in your home. Hoping they get forever homes. |
Oh my goodness I just looked on the website and there is another one, Geno!!! He is so cute. All of these little dogs get so much love and affection by the volunteers. I am excited to see them all tomorrow. |

Wow! Paris is a cutie. If she were up here or I down there, I'd take her in a heartbeat! I've been looking for another grown yorkie, for the past 6+ months, to keep ZoE (1 yr old) company while I'm at work and found nothing. I've certainly never seen pups like that at any shelter around here! |

I really like Geno, he is so cute and such a love bug. They had his age listed as 1 year but I think he was younger. When I was holding him he did not feel "filled out". I remember when Sophie Kate was about 11 months old she was the height she is now, but not filled out. Kazzy, Atlanta Pet Rescues gets a lot of Yorkie (it seems) and other purebreds. I am not sure how they get all their dogs but I believe they pull a lot of them from the surrounding counties animal controls and some owner surrenders. I was told the four that came this week were from an owner who passed, she specifically made arrangements for APR to taker her dogs. Atlanta has A LOT of Yorkies and Maltese. |

Lane is a beauty, she is blessed to have you. Are those Puppy Mill picture the mill where she was? That just makes me sad to see those pictures (they expect them to drink that water). My Vet was also telling me that APR took a bus load of Katrina dogs also, she helped Vet them before adoption. I looked at a lot of rescues in the Atlanta area before I started volunteering at APR. This is a wonderful organization who's priority is the animals (dogs and cats). There are no ego's involved and they are truly thankful for everything they get (give). It makes me happy to go there and give my 2 hours a week. |

What a great looking bunch of dogs.............WOW! We rarely get a nice little dog in our shelters. They are mainly Pitbulls or pit mixes, or other large mixed breeds. That little Addie really got my attention!!! Glad I don't live down there. :rolleyes: |
I would have loved to adopt a Yorkie. We also mostly have large dogs in our shelters. I looked and waited and searched around here for a small dog to adopt but it was not to be. Must be most of the little ones are down south. |

Jacksonville doesn't get any Yorkies, just huge dogs. Small dogs get snatched up before I can even drive to the shelter. |

I am so glad you posted this! I am going to be calling sometime soon, my mom really wants a yorkie, and Lizzie is soooo perfect for her, and my mom has been begging and wanting a doggie, im going to run it by her and if she is okay, then i will drive to ATL and pick her up and surprise my mom! Awww I hope it works out, Ralph wants a family member! Im excited now! haha |
