UPDATE! The sweet baby has been adopted! Surely by another rescue! This is great news! Thanks to Joann for all her hard behind the scenes work! |
Wahoo!!! That is great news!!! Way to go!! :cheer: |
I hope that is true. How would they do that if a group had a hold on her? |
If another group didn't have to wait for funding, as ytnr was still awaiting for approval. I would think they would adopt her out to whoever could take her first. |
I'm just glad she got adopted and got the hold put on her so they didn't euthanize her in two days. Poor thing. |
Praying she got a good home. |
Thank you Lisa for relaying the update info to Priscilla for me while I was busy with my Dad in the hospital this afternoon. Sorry for the lack of updates till now but, the same time this lil' girl was in trouble...my 92 yr old Dad was being hospitalized. Anyway...just wanted to clarify something Priscilla mentioned. I think I may have caused a little confusion in the relay of messages. This little girl was adopted. Who adopted her whether it be a private party or a rescue group was NOT disclosed to me by the shelter. Katie, the Adoption Coordinator who I had been speaking with was not available today so, I was only able to confirm that she had been "adopted" from another employee there. It was also mentioned to me that "if" anyone were to get her before I could tie up all of the arrangements, finding a clinic and getting YTNR approval for her care costs, they would proceed with whoever could do it first. I am not going to entertain anything negative in regards to what else may or may not have happened and frankly...that makes me sad that it was even suggested. I'd also like to mention that there was NEVER a moment that YTNR did not approve her expenses because we only got to that point early this morning after I had finally found a Vet Clinic who was "willing" to accept her in their quarantine section. Amazing still to know some clinics refused her due to her being contagious to their other animals and staff:confused: If I'm being overly sensitive tonight...I apologize but, being the only living child (aka, adult:rolleyes:) left now to care for my parents who are 92 & 87 and trying to work on getting this little girl a home at the same time had me frazzled the past few days. Not to mention no internet access I had to rely on the help from Lisa & Priscilla today...thanks again! Thank you Linda, too for all your information you shared with me...;) |
Again thank you joann for your efforts , and sorry if I got any info wrong. |
Thank you so much, Joann. I am sorry about your parents. I hope your dad is feeling better. I will pray that this little girl found a good home. Thank you for doing all that you could for her! |

Crossing my fingers...;) |
thank you again Joann and glad your dad is doing better. Eat that ice cream! |
Last update on the little girl with Mange...I missed a call earlier this morning from the Adoption Coordinator at the Shelter but, she was kind enough to leave a message to let me know that another local rescue group who had an available foster home were able to adopt her. I was feeling bad last night that I hadn't been able to act fast enough but, there were factors beyond my control that slowed me down...no available YTNR foster homes (or ones w/o other dogs), needing a Vet Clinic with a "quarantine unit" to board her and the cherry on top, was my need to be there for my Dad. In the end...I did my best and this little girl ended up exactly where she was intended to be and I am thankful for that.:animal-pa PS...Just a reminder to anyone who might be interested in Fostering...Rescue Groups (YTNR) need Foster Homes ALL the time. Foster Homes come and go so, there is ALWAYS a need for your help;) |
That's right you did your best, and that was nice of katie to call you back and let you know what happened. |
