Back when I showed there was a philosophy if people paid a great deal of money for a doggie they would care better for the doggie. So I can understand some people believe this is a way of ensuring a quality home for their loved one. I didn't share that philosophy I thought the only way was by getting to know people over time then staying in touch with them and working with them. I never found written contracts to be much good either. It never substituted for all the time and energy that had to go into simply getting to know the people and working with them over time. Another thing is when people are in desperate straits financially they can do things they may not have wanted to do. So I can understand how this could happen. Another consideration is often reputable breeders want to take their own doggies back. Maybe that's another avenue the OP could investigate. At the end of it all I just sincerely hope the little doggie finds a home that can give her the time, attention, stability and care she needs no matter how she eventually ends up there but honestly there are some ways that are better than others.. Oops sorry I do run on I'm going to blame it on the head injury I never know how much is to much LOL sorry, Jo

The OP's ad on Craig's list has been flagged for removal. Steve, you are truly an inspiration. I spent 2 years in bed, with terrible pain in my back-finally was diagnosed with a nerve disorder and I fought my way back out of bed. I am 5'2, and weigh 78#'s, but I am walking-in pain, but walking! Still spend many hours of the day, face down, keeping my spine in alignment, but oh, the hours I am on my feet, I make them count!

You have such a kind heart. I am going to pray that the Lord sends a little Yorkie into your life. You are also an inspiration, to me. I agree with you, I think that people that truly love dogs, are the best people. I also feel very privileged to know so many wonderful people. The Internet has brought so many wonderful people into my life. Sheila

I think both of you ladies are truly the best. Great spirit, big heart, and both an inspiration, to me for sure. I had to learn how to walk again, balance, memory exercises. Started slow, real slow. Walked one foot after the other, walked faster, faster, started Jogging, faster, then running. I walk 3 miles a day. Only thing that really gets me mad is I can't qualify to renew my Pilots License, but I can get a sport license if I want. I had a Motorized Ultralight in AZ that I flew at 50 mph and 5000 feet. Only got lost 2 times, but always found my way back. Got so involved at looking at Dust Devils I forgot where I was heading. I think I made Marge quite nervouse everytime I went up. I hunt, fish (IN Texas), do everything. sometimes my short term memory sucks, and I can't tolerate fools. I have a great family, friends, and have made a lot of great friends on YT. If it were not for YT, would never have found an outstanding lady that refered us to her mentor, and we have basil and Caper! Just enjoy each day, one day at a time.

| FYI~this forum has slightly different rules of posting than the GF. Don't want anyone to get into trouble. Make sure you look them over. They are at the top of the Rescue Forum page. ![]() Sheila you would make a great home for this little one. Steve as usual you rock!

Don't give up on the idea of getting your Pilot's License back again. Look at how far you have come. Don't ever let anyone convince you that you can't do something. Maybe you can't do it today, but....there is the future. The doctors never thought I would walk without falling. Well, I'm walking and I'm not falling. Sometimes my short term memory sucks, too. *wink* Cherish every moment you have with Basil and Caper. They're lives go by too fast. I don't suffer fools, gladly, either. I enjoyed every day of my Sydney's life. She left this earth, knowing she was my heart. Sheila

I also feel, that Jo would be an excellent home for Minnie. I've gotten to know her through P.M.'s and she is a lovely lady. But, I don't know what happened to the OP. I have met the best people in YT.

| Well, things happen in people's lives, that they cannot foresee, and I am certain it must be breaking their hearts, so please, let's not sit in judgement of the OP. We don't know the reason they are moving, and it's really none of our business. I don't feel that she is "throwing Minnie away", she is trying to place her in a good home. She posted here for help in doing so. Last edited by JMuedog; 05-30-2011 at 08:40 PM. Reason: Removed Quote |

| Oh my. I hope the pup got to a good home! I think I would want a pup placed to YTer's I could trust than to just put my pup on Craig's List.
