Steve, thank you, I think we can manage the money, it's the time element to travel that may be more of an issue for us.

We had tremendous Vet bills with Sydney, and beleive me, we'd have paid anything to save her. It's been 12 weeks and 5 days, since we lost her. Today, it has been 15 years since we brought her home.

We made the committment as Ministers to fill in whenever our Pastor is away. So, we will check with him in the morning and ask him to check his schedule.

I think your rescuing her is a godsend. I just wish I was closer, or could travel, I'd take her in a heartbeat. She is precisely the doggie I came to Yorkie talk looking for (you can see my post looking for love lower in this forum).

Steve you are wonderful then again I've found that the men in our armed forces are very special. My hubby spent 22 years in the USAF and after I went through the windshield he retired to care for me rather than deploy. Service people are some very special people.

Well, I haven't rescued her yet. It all depends on if we are needed at church. This is the time of year, our Pastor travels.

Hmm Jo, ........I am wondering something. Since she is precisely the Yorkie that you came to YT to find.....I wonder if we could put a "Yorkie Train" together to get her to you. I mean, I would love to have her, but, I still have my sweet little Kia, and to me, the most imporant thing is that Minnie finds the perfect home, whether it be yours or mine, or someone elses....a home that makes her happy, and her Mom feels good about. Maybe you should P.M. Minnie's Mom and ask her how she feels about the idea. I need to dress again, and go back over to church, as we are celebrating our office secretary finishing her 4 years of school to become a Pastoral Associate.

I agree about Steve. He is a good man. Men that have served our country are indeed the most special men. They put their lives on the line, to protect us. And there are men, like Steve, that continue to take care of us.

God Bless your husband, as well, for serving for 22 years.

My son served for 15.

My brother did two tours of 'Nam, by his own choice.

I'm so sorry you suffered such a horrific car accident.

I just read your "Looking for Love" thread, and Minnie sounds perfect for you! I am willing to hold off, and see if the YT members could get a "Yorkie Train" running to bring her to you, providing Minnie'e Mom approves of the idea.

Or, is there anyone in your family, or a friend, that might be willing to either stay with you while DH goes to get her, or go get her for you?

I can relate to you regarding your spinal injuries. I have an Autonomic Nervous System Disorder that causes the nerves in my spine and leg to malfunction and cause me a great deal of nerve pain.

Now, I really need to get re-dressed. LOL

It looks like Minnie is also being rehomed on craigslist with a story about moving to a bigger place that doesn't allow dogs, I think the first person with a wad od cash is going to get her...

Not sure about this but.....I live in Southern Indiana -- MAYBE I could take a weekend and go get this baby for you and get her closer to home for you. Lots of questions though - where are you in Indiana and where in central Mo. is the furbaby. I think the idea of a Yorkie Train is the way to do this if this is really the furbaby meant for you folks.

You are a sweetheart, but take a look at ArmaniMan's post above yours. Sounds like Minnie's Mom & Dad need to re-home here A.S.A.P.

So, I would imagine she will be re-homed right there in Columbia, Missouri.
