That poem just breaks my heart. I am so happy she is home now. I know that these babies know they have been saved and repay you tenfold in love if given a chance. |
What a great ending to a horrible story! Thank you for saving Tiny :) Can't wait to hear updates when she's all better... |

Carmen, That is absolutely a wonderful thing you have done. You have such a big heart. I am so glad Tiny is with you. Maybe I can meet her one day when we have a MD meetup. I just fostered a little 10mo yorkie boy who's family just dropped him in the night drop at the local shelter because they could not afford to seek the care/surgery for his hip. :( He was the sweetest, most lovable little guy. He now has a home with a family(& new little fur-sibling) who are going to give him the help he deserves. How can people be so cruel? But maybe for some, it's what is needed in order for them to get the love they deserve! Best of luck to you! |
Tiny's bags have been unpacked and sealed away never to be seen again. My wonderful mother used to tell me a latin saying that translates "God will speak for the one that keeps quiet". God will speak for Tiny who could not for herself. One day the person that did this to Tiny will feel the same lonliness, hurt and pain she did, even if for just a short time. She has been helped to a different place by caring people that felt she deserved a chance.... 2 toofers and all! She has her battle scars from her past, but she will never have one from her future. She will live her life in peace. When she passes on, she will have someone that will cry and wish she could come home. |

Geez.....I must be getting more emotional in my "old" age:) |
God bless you all for helping this wee one. |
Hooray for Tiny:) She's so lucky to have you:) WHat's her personality like! I bet she is SOOOO happy to have you:D |
Tiny is very shy and quiet. She will venture out from her bed occasionally and run back if you are looking. Eventually she will get comfortable. She watches everything. When she feels safe again, the true Tiny will emerge! |
If only everyone would fell this way we wouldn't need shelters and rescues. You are Tiny's hero. |
Wow! Thank you for taking in Tiny. Now if we could only find guardian angels for all the others. |
Yah Tiny! Such a great story! I hope her vet visit goes well! |
Tiny seems a little stronger today. She was out and about in the yard today enjoying the cool breeze. I want to give her a little more time before considering removing the growth on her foot. We went shopping for some new outfits now that the weather is turning. She is such a sweetheart. |
Are you going to leave her name as Tiny? Was that her name, or did the people at the shelter give her the name? Does she know the name? I hope everything works out for her medically. She deserves as many good years as she can get. |
Tiny initially did not respond to that name. I think the shelter gave it to her. I usually call her Teeny Weeny and she has begun to look up. She did have a work up by a vet before she came to me. All of her blood work was good. I think once she has that growth removed she will be better. It really displaces her toe. She spends most of her day hopping from bed to bed. There are 3 scattered about. I think she likes to change the view every once in a while. Because she is so small, we found lots of bargains when shopping. She has her winter wardrobe started! |
