My son can possibly meet puppy pals half way. I am leaving in the morning for Texas. He said he will watch him for a few days if someone can take him soon. He lives with a friend and cant keep a dog, but he will if it will be soon.

Rescue Me Yorkie - has reps in Ohio (I know bc they rescued a few Yorkies last year from Ohio)

If you are going to TX - what about bringing him, maybe a rescue in TX can help :confused: Yorkie Haven Rescue is in TX :)

OH wait - here's another

Retro Doggy Rescue ~ they are in MI (I just did a mapquest) and they are 3 hours away from you, so they may work too!

I will not have a car, and a rep from my company is meeting me at the airport. Plus, I cannot afford a ticket.

ok - understand :) I will keep him in my prayers. Both Rescue Me and Retro Doggy are very good rescues, and they will get him his dental immediatley, and they really may have volunteers closer to you that can meet to pick him up. So please don't hesitate to contact them if this puppy pals don't work out ;)

Renee Roth is working with me, she has my number and will call me as soon as she hears back. Thank you for your help. I did not mean to be so angry, but when you try your hardest to get help and get no response, its hard to hear those words. I am sure you know the love between a owner and dog. This dog has helped me thru the hardest times of my life with his love and devotion. He has been the only one always there for me. I lost my boxer 6 months ago, being only 3 1/2 to cardiomyopathy. I spent thousands on him for tests and medicine until the vet said there was no hope. I had him cremated and wear his ashes around my neck. I feel the same about Bentley but more because he has been with me 10 years. I hope and pray he finds someone to love him as much as I do.

I sincerely hope that you are able to find a rescue to take Bentley. My heart aches for you.

Our Boxer, Boo, just turned 14. She has had Boxer Cardiomyopathy for over 5 years and has been on two different heart meds twice daily. One of the meds is on the Walmart $4 list, the other is over $90 per month. I know your heart must be breaking -- I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I just need to defend the rescue groups for a moment. I understand that you are panicked and need help now, but you aren't the only one. These groups are overwhelmed with requests and work with limited volunteers and funding. I'm going to bet that they have multiple cases like yours that they are working on simultaneously. If they don't get back to you right away, it's not because they are ignoring you or not taking your request seriously, but rather because they are doing a lot behind the scenes trying to see if they can find a place for your dog. They have to line up not only transportation, but long-term fosters and vet care. That doesn't happen in the blink of an eye.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I have the utmost respect for the work that all of the rescue groups do.

I would take him if I could find a way to get him here. I live in Oregon. Sadly, but I just lost a yorkie and it would be wonderful. Hope you get this solved.
