This little guy has been sent to me a couple of times...a group had called on him, but then decided he was too big at 10 pounds?!?!? Go figure. I am hoping he will find a home. If not, we are going to try to spring him this weekend. Hartygirl has her eye on him. :);)
Isn't he cute? Looks like he smiles! :)



Elmer was found as a stray and if not claimed will be available for adoption on 01/30/2010. All adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis.

We DO NOT hold or reserve any animal for any reason.

Adoption fees are $10.00.
.
You are given 30 days or 6 months depending on the age of the animal to get it sterilized and vaccinated against rabies or criminal charges will be filled.



Elmer is spayed/neutered.

Ok Little Elm is not far from me so I certainly dont mind picking him up and taking him to someone.

Poor little guy. It really bothers me when people discriminate against the larger toy dogs. I mean come on, 10 lbs is still a very small dog!!! Look how tiny he is in his picture. I don't understand some people..so his life is not worth saving now because he is too big in their eyes? Breaks my heart a bit. I hope this one can be saved. I have my own little teapot and no room for more right now, but if I can make a donation or help in some way please let me know.

Sounds like he is on his way :D He is adorable~10 lbs :eek: he is gigantic his daddy much have been a mastiff :rolleyes: All of mine are teapots and I just love them all to pieces :p Look at my avatar and you will see my 3 don't they look HUGE!! LOL

Wow, I'd never noticed it before but yours are massive!! :rolleyes: My Alex and Jordy are teapots, too - such big, big boys at 11-12 pounds. :p They don't know that though....they still like to sleep on my chest, curl up on my lap, and have me carry them everywhere like they were actually small. :)

We have a small problem. Megan called the shelter and they will not put a hold on Elmer for us. So...someone would need to go and get him and then we would have to figure out how to get him her.
Right now he is not on the list for euthanasia, but that can change.
She did also say she would call if Elmer is adopted.

Yeppers, the voice has really gone today and feverish. And now this nasty cough, I think Im finally gonna have to break down and go to the doctor.

Ok, will you let her know if I dont respond to her email its bc the cough syrup had one knocked my bootie out but will respond in the morning.

I hope you are feeling better!!

Oh....I had it two weeks ago...and yes, needed a doctor to get rid of it.

Hope you are feeling better SOON! That is a nasty little bug. I had started wheezing as well.

Hey there girls, I'm here. I can meet anyone in Houston, Austin, San Antonio or somewhere close to those cities. Also I might be able to just go get him myself next week or weekend sometime. For a City run Animal Control facility these people are as no-kill as possible and very nice to work with.
While they can't put a hold on Elmer for me they said they will call if he is adopted and they think he is healthy, maybe some skin issues. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to run around the facility there and greet everyone.

If someone can help transport that would be AMAZING! PM me and I'll give you my # or my email addy. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Or if you want to adopt him his fee is low, he is already neutered and just needs a bath, haircut and some good food and lovin! He really is a happy guy and very good with other dogs:) :animal36 The coordinator I spoke with yesterday said he is actually around 7lbs, so he's not too big! More of him to love!:animal-pa
