The stork just dropped a little one at the Haven! Oh my! LadyJane is on her way home from picking up a owner surrender 3 month old puppy! She is adorable and LJ promised to post some pictures as soon as she gets home. I just got off the phone with her and she is a nervous wreck. You could drop off any full grown yorkie at her front door and she wouldn't blink an eye. Mange, LP, liver shunt, blind, sick, you name it, it would not phase her one little bit. But a tiny little sweet puppy nearly gave the poor woman a heart attack. :sidesplt: I have a feeling she will be in love in no time at all. :luv: You will have to watch for her to post :2photo: both on this thread as well as the YHR site! She is a little doll! :D |
How sweet! Can't wait to see the pictures! |
Amazing how a person can surender a 3 month old... oppose to calling the breeder.. but I am going to watch for pictures.. you sound so excited.. anne |

Yes, I can believe a 3 month old puppy turned over to Rescue would make LadyJane a nervous wreck. A number of years ago, I was at Sydney's sire's breeders, and we were all sitting around the picnic table in her backyard, talking, when a lady came in and handed over a 5 month old puppy. The puppy was adorable and the lady was crying. Her husband made her give up the puppy. Personally, I'd have given up the husband. Sheila |
1 Attachment(s) OK goofball..I am not a nervous wreck....I just hate puppies! :p She is a cutie pie, though...here is a picture of her meeting the gang. Attachment 280997 |

She looks like she fits right in with the gang. Poor baby though, probably wondering why her Mama isn't there. Sheila |
Ah -- looks like she fit right in! I wondered how many people pay attention to the contract when it says to make sure to contact the breeder for the puppy to go back to them if anything does not work out. I sure hope no one ever surrenders my puppies without giving them back to me. I have only let two go to people I did not already know well or outside the family. I am going to try to keep in contact with those two as well. Send that little girl to me! I love puppies! :) |

I know where she came from and trust me, she is better of with me than returning to the mill. If she had come from a reputable breeder, I myself would have recommended this person contact the breeder. I also do that when people try to surrender pups that came from other rescues. I will make sure she has a wonderful forEver home! |

That is nice that you do try to get puppies back to the good breeders. I have also seen the tear-wrenching videos here of puppymills to understand why you would never send one back to them either. I have to admit, before coming to YT I really did not realize what a puppymill was. Sure I knew there were places that stacked cages in cement building to make the $$$ but I never dreamed there were people who were so cold-hearted as to thoroughly abuse and neglect the dogs just to make $$$. Seeing the condition of those poor dogs in the puppymill bust videos made my blood boil. I am straying from your happy thread, sorry. Best wishes in finding all of your wards the best of health and great new homes! |

That picture made me laugh! Puppy was probably thinking.. what the hell? That one should be submitted to the calendar... if you turn your head just a bit to the left, the yorkies resemble a little flower with pup in the middle! |
