That's it...that's the one Jodi flew in on! :D |
I saw that thread and I thought it was so mean of some members the way they posted to her :( I am ashamed of myself for "Staying Out" of it. I should have posted my support. ' I think it's terrible the way she was jumped on, JMO |

You might not give up your Maddy, but I can tell you that one of the main reasons for owner surrenders is children! I hope you are one who can work it out if/when children come along. There are plenty who do not. You might find the topic uncomfortable, but it is sadly very true. I can promise you that many people who are swearing to love their yorkies will, in the future, be rehoming them when the chidren come along. There is a recent thread here that I could go search for....where a person did just that and posted her beloved yorkie on Craig's List. He is now in our rescue. Today he had a dental and lost all but four of his remaining teeth, but the children are home being cared for. Not saying she did not love her yorkie...just saying that it is common...very common! |

I wanted to try to find where you might have posted to a thread about an older person trying to give up their Yorkie that involved snide comments. Most of your posts are associated with Ban the Person Above You, Gift Exchange or Pictures comments. But if I missed something please point me in the correct direction. :) |

I am relatively new to this forum, and enjoy being on the discussion boards. However, I must say that I have found some people here who are so set in their thought processes that when you speak the truth, even if it is staring them in the face, they want fight to the death over their misguided issue. When I come onto the forum, I try to put my personal feelings aside, while bringing informative factual evidence to light. This gives the OP the ability to make an informed decision. We all have our opionins as to what is the appropriate way of life for our animals. "Beating up" someone, or allowing our emotions to direct our thread comments, only sends the OP into the oposite direction. Giving informed advice or solutions, to me at least, is the only civilized thing to do. Oh well,,,,,,, there it is. P.S. I am ready for the tomatoes now!! |

I too have learned so much and made some great friends as well! My 2 boys came from other YT members and I could not love them more. I am also quite friendly with where my Brady came from, the situation behind him coming to me is not at all what it seems to the outsider. Every rehome situation is different and unique, some are sad and truly unnecessary, but that does not mean that we can pass judgment on people. It would be a very sad day for me if I was ever in the position that some are finding themselves in this time of economic crisis. Instead of shredding someone for trying to do something better for their dog, do something better yourself. Be kind, be patient and help find a solution, otherwise keep your ugly comments to yourself or simply PM me if you feel like venting or trying to intimidate someone. I promise I can handle it. :banned: |
