How wonderful of all of you who have taken in babies that their original owner didn't want anymore, but you have to agree it's very sad!!! Situations arise life is not a guarantee but you make allowences in your life. It is terrible that people think of animals as disposable. I have 4 children and 3 yorkies am not rich by all means but you could never ever get me to get rid of any of them. Sometimes Life happens, deal with it don't cop out. Sorry if you think it's bashing but sometimes people need to hear the truth and not be coddled their whole life. This lady is having a baby?? There will be alot more harder times than this in her life. All I have to say is How could you do this to these animals who have given all their love to you. Having a baby is no reason to get rid of your 2 pets who you've had for all these years. Well maybe they would be better off if someone on YT gets them. At least they will be loved and cared for like they are a member of the family. I'm done here!! |
While I do agree with several points you've made, in my opinion, a person who is going to give up their pups is not going to be persuaded by people on a forum to suddenly keep them. If she had set up a thread asking if she should get rid of them or keep them, then by all means strong opinions can be given. I feel it's just too late to try and persuade someone to change their mind when they've already made the decision. At this point, I think it's important to be just so very thankful they're taking the time to enter forums like this and asking for someone caring to take these two beauties in. You can tell there is love there because the OP refuses to separate the two. While it breaks many people's hearts to hear they're being rehomed, I would hope it would warm their hearts to know the owner cares this much to not discard them, sell them to the highest bidder, or something worse. Still, it's very sad and I hope they find a fantastic, loving family to take them in, spoil them and keep them for the rest of their lives. |

I am really holding my tongue right now so I am going to choose my words kindly and try not to go to town with the saddness and disappointment I am feeling. I wish that some of the other posters who are judging the OP would think before they post. Those that are bashing the OP on this thread all need to gain some compassion in their hearts for others that have to make that difficult decision to give their pups to other families for whatever reason. We all have no place to judge her. We don't know her personally. We don't know all the details of her situation, and honestly it's none of our business! What should be our concern is that we do whatever we can to help her find a fabulous family to love her two babies...that's it! Be a part of something good, not bringing hatefulness and negativity to an already diffcult situation. Read the posts from those who have taken into their loving homes a pup that has been re-homed. It's those stories that are encouragement to those like the OP who come here to ask for help and understanding not judgement. Enough said. ~Kathy |

Again....some of you need to go post somewhere else if you don't "get" what the word rescue means. There are plenty of other places on YT where you can express your opinions. Why are you even in this forum if you are not interesed in rescue or rehoming? That IS what this forum topic is. Do you honestly believe what you say is going to change anything? The way I see this, these pups are now at risk because one of the options left open to this person to safely find a home for them has been taken away. Perhaps not...maybe she will return, but I believe the chances are slim to none. Pat yourself on the back eh? Job well done...you told her how you felt. Now do tell, where do you think she will turn to next? Craig's List? A shelter? A newspaper ad? And, be careful using that word "never". That is a word that can come back to haunt you. |

It is sad, but it is a fact of life. Getting on here and lecturing someone is not going to change it. |

Maybe we need a sticky on this forum as to why some people have to rehome. It always a sad thing, but people do it for a wide variety of reasons. We shouldn't jump to conclusions about the reasons, and make people think they are bad for rehoming. Many times rehoming comes from a loving place not a selfish place, and they are truly looking out for the best interest of the dog. If people are made to feel guilty about the decision, won't they stop posting on this forum? |

I have seen people get banned on YT for less. I am at a loss as to why this has continued unchecked all day. I reported it but I guess it is not bad enough for them to do anything? Heck if I understand it. |
