oh your welcome, i just want another yorkie dog like mine, i miss mine so much and am losing hope in finding her, u kno how expensive these dogs are and any chance ppl can get a free one or see one they will take it. i miss her so much and am searching up and down but im losing hope, i am moving in a month, and i have little faith that i will find her before then, i would just like another yorkie like her. my little yorkie was crated for th 5 or 6 years she was at another home, she was a breeder dog, we took her in, she was the cutest thing, it took her a while to come out of her crate on her own but she trusted me. she did it. it was the happiest moment ever. if u dont find an owner will you let me know soon, before this months over, ill be happy to have u come to our place/ have to ask rents but dont think they would mind, but our house is quite empty and sorta messy, but we are moving and the house there is better, i would like to get a dog before i move, can u please let me know?

Update on where things stand at this point for Lolita.
 
From the beginning one of the main things that have been of great concern is that Lolita is not spayed. I was contacted by an individual (whom I will not name in case they wish to keep their identity private) that has offered to donate the re-homing fee for Lolita. I will foster Lolita and have her spayed before she is able to move on to a new forever home. We are communicating at this time and working out details.

I'm sorry if this is upsetting to anyone but we really feel this is what's in Lolita's best interests at this time.

I will continue to post updates as they become available.

That is wonderful that this little girl is already so cared about. Who ever stepped up to help with her re-homing fee God bless them and you Jen for taking care of the important issues for Lolita's care in getting her spayed. It also seems that she may have some dental issues as well. Our little Rizzo that was a breeder puppymill rescue had to have 5 teeth removed in her dental cleaning because of years of neglect. We would have loved her if she had no teeth.

That's not at all what I'm saying. The re-homing fee has been donated and I'm going to pay to get her spayed. It would be nice if everyone could get their money back but that's not the motivation. As long as Lolita is not spayed it's a possibility that she could be bred again risking her life. As sad as that is there are people that would do it and we don't want that to happen. I'm not saying that anyone that has expressed interest in adopting Lolita has those intentions but if they really want her they will want her if spayed as well. We feel it's the responsible thing to do and keeps Lolita's best interest at heart which is what's most important.

AWWW What great people we have on this site. That was so sweet of some one to pay that up front, and so great to hear that she will be spayed before rehomeing her. YAY Im so happy. and I would not let anyone have her that is not willing to let you do a home visit.
we are having a home put here, been saving for it. but havent even got close yet. but anyways. the house were in on the same land is not the greatest. its clean and many people say its so cute, but I dont like it any ways, but that has never stopped me from letting anyone in when it came to me buying my pets. so what Im saying there has to be a reason they dont want you to come to them, so there for I wouldnt let that baby go there.
I hope she finds the beat loving home out there. she deserves it so much.

:thumbup::thumbup: From what I understand, the lady who has Lolita has a male that keeps attacking her. The lady really needs to do something quickly as she is very busy and although she cares very deeply for her, the situation is impossible. By you taking her, you can have her spayed [we all know that a 4 lb. Yorkie should never have been bred in the first place!] and there would be more time to more carefully consider forever homes and be certain that she will finally be "home". I think it's a wonderful thing that you are doing. God bless you for caring!

It always amazes me the generosity of others here on YT! Especially with the economy today. Thank you goes out to the donor and to everyone involved in keeping this little one safe until she is shipped to me! :D Just kidding... I do hope a great home will be found for her. She deserves to be able to sit back and relax while being pampered!

I agree the other dog that is aggressive will further traumatize Lolita and that is the last thing she needs given all that she has been through...

Wow that's great! I think it's important that she get spayed regardless of who she goes to, that way she will never be in that danger of being bred again. The person that donated the rehoming fee..Wow..... just wow. People here amaze me at how caring and loving they are. God will bless them.

really hope you hold out and await the perfect home from a YT member so we all can watch her develop into the beauty she has never had the chance to become .. and acquire that wonderful forever home she so desperately needs! :rolleyes:

I'm so sorry I didn't post this last night and I feel just horrible about it.

Thank you and your husband so very much for being so kind and generous. There is so much I want to say yet I can't even find all the right words that fully convey how I feel about what you have both done. Your amazing, kind of heart, and giving beyond belief. I'm still finding myself in disbelief at your kindness. There is a special place in heaven for people like you and I for one am honored to have had the privelage of crossing paths with you. Update: Getting Lolita Today
 
We have arranged to meet later on today to get Lolita. I plan on contacting the vet to schedule a check up for her so that she can look her over, check her teeth, and get something done toward pre-op tests. It's important that she feel comfortable/safe with me before she starts getting poked, prodded, and everything else by the vet so we will probably spend the next couple of days getting to know each other.

OMG that site makes me so sad!! their costs look so ratty and one of the girls "Trisha" looks like her top knot is hurting her and giving her a face lift! That's horrible. The general public doesn't know the difference. My friend brought over a 2 year old 2-3lb yorkie that was given to her mom and was told that is was worth $4000. That poor little girl looked like she'd been through a lot. I'm pretty sure she'd been breed as her nipples were all enlarged and her legs were all bow-legged. She was soooo scared and just laid down on the floor and didn't move. This tread reminded me of her as one of the mom's looks almost exactly like this little one. I wonder if this is where she's from.

The first image is of her curled up in bed. The other two are for size. Genghis is 6lbs. He has a way of getting shy dogs to ply with him.

Lolitas journey to her forever home
 
They say a journey begins with the first step. I am so happy to hear that Lolita's journey to forever home will begin today and she will be coming to you Jennifer to assist in finding her forever family. Keep us all posted on how she is adjusting with you and her vet check up. Glad she is away from that aggressive dog.
Our puppy mill rescue Rizzo was so scared & timid when she came to us but with love and nuturing she blossomed into a beautiful little spirit that I will never forget.
I hope you will still consider letting Lolita come her to live in CA with us. I know it is not ideal to have a dog shipped but that is how we got Rizzo from an Arkansas mill rescue. I would absolutely make arrangements to make that happen.
All in all I want what is best for Lolita whatever situation/family proves to be the best forever home that is where she should go. That is the bottom line. She will be a welcomed gift whoever adopts her.

Lolita Is Here
 
Lolita is here and is such a cutie pie.

She has an appointment for a check up this Friday with the vet. She's a little timid and nervous right now but so far so good .

I cut a yogurt drop into a few pieces and gave it to her... she loved the yogurt drop. She may not be used to something that size or maybe her teeth hurt her a little too much to chew it so that's why I cut it into a few pieces for her.

According to her paper she was adopted Feb. 21, 2009 to the man that got her from the breeder. Her adoption papers say her name is Sissy Lou but at this point she's really not responding to any particular name so I don't know what to call her.

The paper says she is AKC. Under the guarantee its says-
"Sissy Lu is a retired breder, she is to be spayed & have her teeth cleaned by her new family. She is not to be bred or sold."

I hope to move forward with checking references and finding her forever home soon. I don't want to keep her fate hanging in limbo any longer than necessary but I don't want to rush through it and cut corners either. Thank you for your patients and understanding.

A BIG THANKS to you Jen and whoever else is involved with donating Lolita's rehoming fee. We need more people like this. Lolita is a very lucky girl and I can't thank you guys enough for stepping up to help her out. Elaine

Hallaluya! Kudos to you to get her in a safe place. :D She is such a cutie.Yep sounds like her gums are sore....infection can drag their energy down too....
Rizzo was like a new dog once her teeth were cleaned and bad ones removed. She went in for cleaning & 2 extractions and came out with 5 teeth gone!

Wonderful news!! :thumbup::thumbup: I am so happy to hear that this little one is safe and well on her way to a loving forever home!! I would say that "her fate is no longer hanging" and you can now safely shift gears and take time in selecting the most wonderful home you can for this little girl! :) God bless you and hubby for caring so much!! ;)

This is such a sweet beginning to this little girl's future! I wish I were closer so I could just hold her! How lucky for you to be able to foster her! I know the person that will be her new owner will be blessed with lots of love from this little one!
