Ask if this shelter would release to a Maltese Rescue? If so, then we can try and find one in the area :) |

That is a great idea! Do we have any idea if it is a Kill Shelter? They are beautiful and need a loving home! I will look and see what Maltese rescues are in the area and lets see if we can help them out! |
* I just read the shelter page and this actually seems like a not a bad place. They so work with rescues and look to find all their dogs loving homes~which is wonderful!!!!! They have a senior to senior pet adoption program that allows 60 and old adopter to adopt for FREE! I think it would be wonderful if someone could check on them. They also have volunteers that are pet walkers. I was also thinking maybe they might need a little "sponsorship" if you know what I mean, just so this shelter knows that there are people out there looking out for their welfare. ;) I have a feeling this is not quite as bad as we originally thought. :) |
How do you not have a connection with your pet after 10 and 13yrs?:( This story is heartbreaking. Those poor pups so afraid and away from the only home they ever knew. I can't comprehend how a human can do such a thing. Sad part is there are many people like this. When a baby comes the dog goes! I think so many people replace a human baby with a pet then when the human baby comes the pet is no longer needed. Very sad. |

I don't know how anybody could do that. :( But I did click on their PetFinder site and it says they have been adopted. :) Good for those two cutie pies. |

This makes me so angry and so sad. My darling Sydney turned 13 years old on the 17th of this month. We celebrated in style, and thanked God for another wonderful year with her, and asked for many more. I dread the day she Crosses the Bridge, but when that day comes, she will be in our arms. New puppies are wonderful, but "old friends" are even better. I cannot tell you the number of times over the years, she has kissed my tears away. Sheila |
