I too think that Pearl may be a Silky.....she has a longer body and muzzle like a Silky. Thank you to all involved in saving Pearl and Tucker......you are all angels!

If Pearl and Tucker are Silkies, you may find they are slower to warm up and trust that yorkies. That is just the nature of Silkies....but once they do begin to trust, they are very protective and loyal!

The Silky I am handling right now is on the smaller side (about 8 pounds) and people assume she is a yorkie.

Again....thank you to all involved in saving Pearl and Tucker!!

PS....I hear through the grapevine that there were quite a few silkies that needed to be rescued from a puppymill in Missouri....as I know someone else that went up to pick up some Silkies.

yeah.. i was contacted by the westie rescue to take theses ones... they were the only ones coming from this particular mill

Alisha and Katie thank you both for posting about Tucker and Pearl. It makes me feel so good to know they are being watched after with such love.

I think after looking at Pearl again, that she is a silky. I thought at first her body looked a little long for a yorkie, but you never know. I'm sure they will both make devoted, lovable companions for some lucky family.

I want to add my praise for all that you've done, not only for Pearl & Tucker...but for all rescues. I have great admiration for your caring nature. May you all be blessed in life!!!

Welcome to YT, Katie & Alisha!! God bless you both for giviing your time and love to rescue. These poor babies just seem to blossom when they realize that they are people who actually are kind to them and don't mistreat them ... it's so rewarding!! :) I pray they will be perfectly healthy when they get their vet checks.

Kelly, I am so happy that you all got these babies .... they are adorable! They will make some families wonderful pets! You guys keep up the good work! :thumbup::thumbup:

Bettyeanne.... OKYR Thanks you & Trish more than you know for your generous, kind, mentoring words. We appreciate that when we have questions or need you... you are there. We feel VERY blessed to have such a great comrad at our side. Please tell Trish we thank her for her time & thoughts when we have had questions.

Thank you!! We are trying our best!!! Thank god for people like Katie and Alisha who found us right in our time of need!

Also thank you for everyone's input on Pearl.. i don't know much about Silkys so i was hoping someone on here would!

Ahhhhh ... thank you, Kelly and Angi for the kind words! Anything we can do, we will. We are still new also and are so blessed to have Trish at our helm!! I have never met anyone who knows so much about rescue ... I learn something new every single day and we feel so privileged to share what we have learned with you all. We are all just in this together ... trying to save these babies, one at the time!! Keep up the good work!! :thumbup::thumbup:
