PLEASE help!!! Need to adopt out my babies....
 

Due to a very unfortunate turn of events in my life... my children & I will be moving in with my mother in her home. SHe has made 1 condition, which is that I can NOT bring my dogs. THey are my babies, they are best friends and I want to ensure that they go to a loving home. I am located in Texas north of Houston, and will NOT ship them.

My older girl, Sugar, is 4 years old, but she only weighs 3lbs (She lost weight during her last heat). My puppy Spike (Sugar & Spike, get it?) :cry8:, weighs about 5 lbs at 4 months. He is not built big, but he is VERY fat. He loves to steal all of Sugars food.

They are both AKC registered, and are wonderful with each other so I am assuming that they will be ok with other pets.

I do NOT want to seperate them, and the adoption fee is $950 for the 2 of them together. I am willing to meet the new parents near Houston if necesary. I will be screening any potential parents, so if you are interested please submit a letter explaining why you would provide the best home for these little babies. I will not let them go until I find the perfect home. My mother has agreed to let me keep them as long as I was actively searching for them a new home.

Sorry to hear you have to rehome your babies. Maybe once your Mom gets use to them she will let you keep them.

I am sorry for what is happening to you at this time.. I am also sorry that you mom does not want them to go with you.. they do not even shed..:eek:

I am sure this breaks your heart..and my heart goes out to you.. I do hope and pray you find the right person.. and hope you do a contract to keep them together.. and make the person abide by it.. hopefully you find some one to love them both.. I am too far away.. and do not know of anyone.. but just want to wish you the best in your circumstances...anne

I am so sorry you have to part with your precious babies. They are so sweet and cute! Surely you will be able to find them a good home.

It's such a bad time in life right now. 1st I lose my husband to another woman, and now I have to lose my dogs. Things couldn't suck any worse. :( I can only hope someone will be willing to take them BOTH. I couldn't sepeate them, they have truly become best buddies. Keep me & my babies in your prayers!!!!

It's just not fair!! Surely there is someone who can take them both. At least you have a place to go. Just wish your mom was more dog friendly.

Honey.. make your hubby pay your rental.. if he left you.. you should not have to give up your yorkies that you love and move in with a parent.. I have been down that road.. also with friends.. he needs be responsible to you.. and I know how bad a time this is, believe me.. but I hate to see a woman lose everything because a man needs to run off with another woman..

Honey, I'm praying that the perfect home comes for your precious
babies.
I wish your Mom would read up on Yorkies and see that they do not
shed and are very clean and can be trained to do almost anything encluding
not barking. I know your caught between a rock and a hard place I just
hope things work out for you.

That's a great idea!! I'm so sorry that you have to go thru this. My mother would be the same way, believe me. She would not allow the dogs either, so I understand that part. Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

I don't know where you are exactly, but would this site help? at least to let them know your situation and to be on the lookout for you? I'm so sorry, I wish we had room to help out...heres another thought, a coworker of my daughters lives in government housing-she's allowed 2 (I believe) small dogs-must be under 25#.

Gee, I wish I were closer. I would foster them. I'm praying your mom will just fall in love with them, like we've all done, and she'll change her mind. Lord, please soften her heart. And regarding your husband, I'm so sorry to hear that, but there is life after a cheating husband.

I am sorry to hear what is happening :( Hopefully your Mom will come to love your Yorkies while your searching in the meantime. You really shouldn't have to lose your dogs.

I'd look into fostering them first or finding a friend or relative perhaps that can look after them for awhile till you can get your own place again.

I would not be separated from my two yorkies even if we had to live out of a car in my mom's driveway or a tent on her lawn. Geeze you'd think at least your own mother would be a bit more understanding.

I'm so sorry for you. The babies are so precious and I wish I could do something (anything) to make it so you didn't have to be separated from them. I think about stuff all the time happening like this and I wonder how I would handle it. I just cannot even imagine having to give up my babies ever! I just want to say that they're so beautiful and the price is very generous. I am going to pray for you tonite...I just hate to see things like this happen to either humans or pets....they should never be separated unless it's just not working out. Warm thoughts to you, I know this has to be heartbreaking for you.

On a more hopeful note, my mom does not want any animals (or really children, for that matter) in her house, and she's totally GAGA over Max and Max knows exactly who "Grammy" is...she even refers to herself as that to him:D...and she's actually looking forward to meeting Madison....and we usually stay with her and the dogs of course are inside all the time...so maybe there's SOME hope:)
