Prayers for little Gracie. I am particularly praying that God's grace meet the needs of this tiny baby.

Do you think Oprah would donate the money needed for surgery, she is a big dog lover. I hear she just lost another one of her dogs.

She is a doll! I am sending my prayers for her. She is just so sweet. Lets call her Destiny~

Thank you all for your prayers and concern for our Baby. We at least got some really good news ... her blood panel came back showing absolutely nothing out of the norm!! We were elated! :p We really appreciate and welcome all your ideas/suggestions and are taking everything into consideration. We haven't decided anything except that her forever home will have to be very special. We have already had a couple of people who want her, but noone seems to understand, we aren't just looking to "get her off our hands" ... it just has to be the most perfect home for her. This little sweetheart has already been "passed off" twice in her less than 4 months of life and when she is adopted it has to be forever!

Her beginning is a little sketchy, we don't yet know who the breeder was, but she must have been a real peach!! A lady had gotten a pup from her ... supposed to have been a small one. Turned out the pup grew to be a 9 lb. one with LP! The size wouldn't have mattered but evidently she wanted a really small one because of her physical limitations. Soooooo, this peach of a breeder thought it would be nice to give this little one with the handicap to this lady for FREE!!! What a big hearted breeder!! :mad: I think the lady was attached to her but could do nothing to help so she surrendered her to us. So that's where we are ... gotta figure out what we can do for her and it will be what's best for this Baby.

I hope you're able to find her a good home. It's really frustrating to hear about all these bad breeders. I have been looking for a yorkie for 2 years and am getting sick and tired of scammers, puppy mills, and bad breeders. People need to understand that puppies shouldn't be so easily disposable just to make a quick bucks.

I wish the best for you. If I were closer, I'd want to give her a good home. I think you should name her Chloe or Serenity :)

I am glad the blood panel came back ok. I was curious how she was doing...Please keep me posted. Do you have any other pictures of her yet?

WOW!!! What a touching story! It has truly touched my heart! I will start praying tonight that she will find the perfect place that will be her safe and forever perfect home! I wish I could just hold her and protect her! She was put on this earth for a reason and she just might touch someones heart and change them forever..you never know. Everything happens for a reason!!!! I pray for you that you will make the best decisions for this sweet baby!!! Good luck to you and your baby!

We are all totally in love with this sweet baby who has personality overload!! :p Foster Mom sent us a short video of her and it seems the more she grows, the more inventive she is. We have decided not to risk her life with surgeries that can only be described as possibly 50% successful. She is so healthy otherwise. We are going to speak to and get advice from those who make wheelchairs for these little ones and try to speculate what her future will bring. In the meantime, we do have her listed on our website but I can assure you, the home for her will have to be very special.


We have already received calls from some who are interested in her. I can hardly believe some of them ... i.e., a breeder who is impressed with her coat and was very interested because she is still "intact"! Please ... some of us were born at night but it certainly was not last night!! She is intact because she is still a baby!! I can assure everyone, she won't be going to a forever home until after her spay.

Didn't mean to ramble ... just wanted to give a little update and to ask you to please, please continue to pray for this precious, special little girl.

She is beautiful. Looks like you are in love. LOL. Maybe, you'll end up keeping her yourself. I've seen a few fosters end up being permanent homes:) I wish the very best for her and for you. It takes a special home to take in these little babies and care for them unti their forever homes are found.

Thank you!! Fortunately, I am in GJ and the baby is with one of our fantastic Foster Mom's near Denver. Trish & I were talking the other day about perhaps making a trip down there ... my reply ... "no way! If I ever touch her, she's mine!" :p Until we retire, we can't add to our family ... darn! Seriously, if our circumstances were different, we would love to give her a forever home! I am new here and wondering what LP is? I did a search but didn't get anything to come up. My little yorkie has what I call a "weakness" in her left back leg. She kind of hops or skips when it is cold outside or when we walk for any distance. Just wondering if this is what her leg problem is. Thanks!

What is the possibility of having her fitted for braces instead of the wheelchair? She already moves so well and I wonder if that wouldn't give her a little more freedom than a chair.

Welcome to YT! LP is Luxating Patela and is a genetic thing common in Yorkies. If you do a "search", there is tons of information on here and unfortunately, we have lots of members who have found their babies have this. It usually can be corrected by surgery. Sorry to say, our baby has deformed back legs and not LP. Her little rear feet/legs are turned straight out at a 45 degree angle and we have found no surgery that will offer us more than a 50% chance that it will work.

I hope you will have your baby checked for LP and perhaps it can be a simple repair, if that is what it is. I would love to hear all about her and see pictures of her. Good luck and please update us on how she is doing. There are lots of threads and posts in the "Sick and Injured" section.

Amazing!!! I didn't know about braces. I don't know that they could be used for her because her little legs are turned straight out. I can assure you that we will certainly add this to our exploration! You are absolutely right, the little braces would give her much more freedom than a chair. Thank you so very much for the link ... I am going to forward it to our group and I will be praying that this may possibly work for her. One of the vets that has seen her says that the little tendons are too short. I really believe that her young age is in her favor.

Thank you so much for asking! She is absolutely thriving and just getting sweeter each day. We took her off our website for now ... it will be a while before she can be adopted. Foster Mom says that she has the most amazing personality ... she runs and wrestles with the others and just loves to play! She is just the most amazing little girl. Her forever home will have to be perfect. :)

Aww I just watched the video of this sweet baby and it brought back so many memories of my first Yorkie. She too walked just like that she was gave to me at 5 weeks old. come to find out a kid had stepped on her crushing her back and legs , nothing could be done for her. I was told better to put her to sleep. But I didnt ...She was not in any pain and was such a happy sweet baby. she wore a diaper all her life because she did not know when she had to go potty. She was my baby. sadly we had to put her down at age 7 not a very long life but she was my very first Yorkie and I love and miss her alot.

Oh, what a sweet sweet baby!!! I wish I lived closer! She seems to have such determination! I will remember her in my prayers, and I hope that you can eventually find her the perfect forever home. She needs to be with someone who will love and spoil and pamper her! She is very special and sooooo very sweet! I wish her all the best.

Sorry I haven't updated. She is doing great!! She actually had her spay this week and when I talked to FM she says this little one hasn't missed a beat!! She is just the most amazing little girl! We are fortunate that she is getting exactly what she needs to be "normal"! She is getting socialization and experiencing everything she should as a baby her age deserves. The most important thing is that she is so loved. Baby made fast friends with another foster that came into the home for a short time. Molly was one of the most withdrawn, terrified little ones that we have seen. She obviously was abused by a man because she was mortified of all men. She absolutely blossomed and has already gone to a fantastic forever home! God just provides a way for even those who appear to be unadoptable! This is an awful picture [my fault!] but I thought it was soooo cute! Molly and Baby had wrestled, run and played until they were both exhausted. At naptime, Molly, naps in her crate and Baby, wanting to be as close to her as she could, curled up next to the crate and took her nap! :p

This is my first time seeing this thread. What an angel. She is so happy. Was anything decided concerning the leg braces? She looks like she is growing and has put on some weight. I love her. Where is she located?

Thank you all so much. There have been no definite plans to date for her. She is just growing and being a normal little Yorkie girl ... "girls just want to have fun!" I can't help but think of that song every time I look at her picture! :p Foster Mom will be taking her next week to see another dogtor. We have no idea of what may/may not work for her, but we feel we just have to try. I have a feeling that regardless of where her little life takes her, she is gonna have fun and be a joy where ever she goes. :thumbup::thumbup:
