Little Baby No Name!! 1 Attachment(s) Yorkie Rescue Colorado is "outside the box" again! We have just gotten the most precious tiny baby. She is about 3 1/2 months old, 1.12 lbs. and just a little sweetheart. Her picture and bio are on our website, but I just had to show you all this little one! |
Beautiful!! She is drop dead gorgeous!!! I'm having trouble coming up with a girls name , too! I can't believe you got her from a rescue!!! |
She is absolutely precious! Congratulations!:) |
She is a doll! I don't know, but anytime I see one of these tiny adorable babies, I always think they should be named, "Pixie Dust". Tammy |
BettyAnne, I think Toto needs a sister;) What a precious baby girl she is. Bless you once again for stepping in and caring. How about, Tiffany or Tasha, she looks so feminine. |
Oh my good goddess! I would take her in a nano second and I would name her Smidge. My sweet little Smidge of a girl. Sit Smidget! |
she is just a beauty! |
I'm so sorry to hear her back legs are not working. I do hope an operation can correct this. She sure is a doll. |
She is a cutie. I hope she gets her forever home soon |
 Thanks for the compliment .... but, she isn't mine ... well, not personally mine. She was surrendered to our Rescue! :p She is such a tiny little sweetheart ... if we could have another one right now, well, Toto just might have a baby sister!! [Shhhhhhhhh ... don't tell Toto, she would run away with the UPS guy ... she's madly in love with him! :) ] I love all the name suggestions! This little one will have a tough time over the next few months but she's just a precious little baby and we are going to try to give her the best chance we can for a normal happy life! Trish was talking to surgeons today ... we can only speculate until she is examined, etc. but it really sounds like a birth defect rather than LP. I can hardly wait until we can hopefully get her on her way to a normal life and the best forever home imaginable!! ;) |
What a doll! Sending prayers to her for a full recovery. What about Hope? |
Thanks everyone! I have a small update .... she has a respiratory infection. Foster Mom rushed her to the vet as soon as she saw the mucus in her little eye. Vet said she should be fine since she was brought in so quickly! Gave her meds ... she is still her bubbly little self! She is so playful and happy ... she tries to do that little "bunny hop" that yorkie babies do but she falls flat on her little belly! Poor baby! :) We found out today from Alameda East that Dr. Taylor [the absolute best!] has a rotator cuff problem and won't be available for quite some time. All the "orthopods" so far don't want to touch her problem and say that Dr. Taylor is the absolute best!! Trish is supposed to talk to the "second best" next Wednesday. Please pray that we will find someone who can help this little girl!! ;) |
Oh my goodness... how in the world does a young yorkie like this end up in a rescue.. I cannot imagine for the life of me how this happens..she is so sweet.. I know so many people who would take her in and love her to pieces.. I have a woman in my park that comes by all the time to just see the baby's as she calls them.. her husband is afraid to death of dogs.. but she said today he would let me have one if I really really wanted one.. and she says he would fall in love once he knew he was not going to be attacked.. I told her that sometimes the best parents are the ones who do not plan on being a parent to a yorkie.. I was one.. now look at me.. I am nuts..ask the people in my park.. dog clothing, strollers.. when I get a parcel they ask ok what did you get those dogs now.. Like the fathers who do not really want to be a dad.. and are the best.. then there are the ones that all they want is to be a dad.. and do not do good as a parent at all..all talk and no action.. This baby will be so loved whom ever gets her one day...name her gracie.. for the grace of God she is getting all this help... |
What the sweetest little girl!! Makes me feel so ungrateful- about Banjo's chipped leg bone- it could be so much worse Wish it had not happened of course, but compared to this little one- we need to count out blessings, don't we!! And it sounds like she has just the sweetest personality, despite her leg problems! Oh, I would love to have her- and I will be praying for her to get all of the best of care!! she is more than special!! What a doll! I just love her face! I know your organization will take wonderful care of her!! |
Sending prayers for this little girl. Names I like are Gracie,Bonnie, Meg, Lucy, Zoey. |
Oh my goodness! I'd have to name her Spirit because it sounds like she has a wonderful spirit despite her condition. Or Dolly because look at that Doll Face!!!! Who could resist! Hope she gets the help she needs and gets better soon. She deserves it! |
What a cute little Sweatheart, she looks like a Gracie to me too ! :D I hope she gets the help she needs and can hop around in no time ! Prayers coming for this little Angel ! |
Are there any updates? How is she doing? She is just so sweet! Sending prayers & angels to her. |
Sorry I haven't updated ... not much to tell at this point except that she is improving from her respiratory infection. We are thankful that Foster Mom was on her toes and we got that "nipped in the bud"! I'm on pins and needles waiting until Trish talks to another doctor on Wednesday! So far everyone refers her to more knowledgeable doctors. The amazing thing is that this little baby doesn't even know that she has a handicap! She just tries to run & play like a normal little Yorkie but she gets around like a little seal. It breaks my heart to think that we may not be able to help her but I just keep praying that God will send us an angel with the skill to help her! Thank you all so much ... I believe with YT prayers, we will find a way to help her! |
Betty Beane Congratulations. She is BEAUTIFUL!! Lilly came from rescue too. We got Lilly at 13 weeks old, she weighed just shy of 2 lbs. She's now 10 months old and weighs just shy of 4 lbs. Rescue is wonderful isn't it. I always hear "Well I had to buy because I wanted a puppy." See guys, be patient and keep watching. Rescues do get puppies. Elaine |
What a precious Angel. I am keeping her in my prayers that she will be able to get what she needs to have a wonderful life in a loving home. You are a special person for your dedication in finding these babies loving forever homes. Warm regards, |
Thank you all so much for your prayers .... we really need them today! So far, so good with her respiratory infection ... it really pays to be sensitive to anything out of the ordinary. Foster Mom got her to the vet really quickly and we nipped it in the bud!! Today she sees a specialist and hopefully we will know if anything can be done for her little legs or if she will have to live the rest of her life trying to keep up. Since this is all she has ever known, she doesn't know that she is "different" and tries to run and play like a happy little pup! We are just praying that we can give her a normal life ... with her sweet, happy attitude, she deserves it! :) |
Bless you for your wonderful caring heart and helping these lil balls of love. I had a friend whos dog unfortunately was hit by a car, and they soon found out he was paralyzed from the waist down. TG they had an amazing vet who hooked them up with a special doggie set of wheels for his back end. Once he learned how to use it, he was off like nuttin ever happened to him. He chased the frisbee, he chased the cat lol, he did great, so even if u think its worst case scenario, god forbid, it may be just what the Dr ordered! She is an absolute doll!! I live in So FL and my door is always open to her! Prayers for her and you too! Elizabeth Duncan and Piper and the big dog Dove too! |
I will be thinking of you today and saying prayers that you will have good news. You are in my prayers this morning. |
Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern for our baby. I just don't even know where to begin ... I first apologize for not updating yesterday, and don't know if I can even now! She was seen by the specialist yesterday and we never, ever expected what he found. We had speculated, worse case scenario ... LP in both legs ... it would be difficult but we could find a way to get what she needed. He said that in addition to her little feet being turned out at a 45 degree angle ... her little knees are too! The surgery is only a 50% chance of doing any good at all and it will require several surgeries all in all. He was very honest with us and said that when all is said and done ... it will probably cost us $15,000 to $20,000 for only a 50% chance that she can live a halfway normal life! Needless to say, we are stunned. I feel like I have a knife in my heart and all I can do is cry ... I feel so helpless! I had hoped that this morning I could feel better and think clearly, but I don't and I just can't! Dear God ... she's just a happy little baby and doesn't even realize that she is handicapped!! I'm sorry ... I just can't finish this ... I will try later ... please pray for us that we can make good decisions for her! |
maybe if anything she can get one those cool looking doggy wheelchairs like another member on this site has for her baby :) I would love to pitch in for something like this. I would love to take her and provide medical care for her but I think Armani would just be too rough with her, he is too hyper :) but she is a doll baby! |

o my i posted before I saw this :( I am so sorry no little fur baby deserves this. But there are a lot of handicapped fur babies and often they dont realize that they are handicapped, maybe now the best thing to do is figure out the best way from her to navigate, perhaps a doggy wheelchair. Will this affect her life span>? |
What a little darling who deserves every chance at a normal life. She is blessed to have found your rescue to give her new hope!! I pray you will receive enough donations to help her live a normal life. |
I appreciate you all so much! We know the impossibility of ever raising enough for the surgery the specialist described and with only a 50% chance ... would we want to put her through it. We are going to have to clear our heads a bit to decide where to go from here. I know we can\'t let her live her little life like a seal ... I would suspect that there would have to be problems/complications later in her life. The other thing is, she is already walking up on her little front legs especially when she poops! If she were to start doing that all the time, that couldn\'t be good for her little insides. I, personally, think that the little wheelchair is probably her best option ... but she\'s just a baby. My heart just aches for her ... this will be for the rest of her life. We are waiting now for results of the blood panel that we had done. Please pray that we don\'t get any "surprises" from it. Again, thank you all so much ... I just don\'t think we could do this without your prayers! |
What a sweetheart Baby is! She is an absolute doll. My heart breaks for all her problems. I would definitely talk with Baby Bear\'s mom about wheelchair options, since she has been thru several people & really believes she has discovered the very best person to work with these little ones. I love how you describe Baby\'s spirit! She needs a name that reflects that. How about Tib or Tibby, could be short for Tabitha. Is there anyway you can get in touch with whoever bred this girl? They really should not bred another dog in this line ever again! |
