Sarah welcome to YT I think this is great 2 things out of one a new yter and a happy mommy knowing where her baby is going.. this is so exciting.. it has kind been like a reality show watching every day to see what was next and now the results are in YEAH HIP HIP HOORAY this is soooooooooo wonderful and I have the utmost respect for you.... good luck in your schooling and just because you do not have a yorkie after you rehome daisy does not mean you can not be on the site.. You may want another yorkie when your lifetstyle allows it.... It was great seeing you here and we are gonna miss you so stick around when you can

Good Luck. If you lived in California I could help. I know a lot of people who want a Yorkie. But most want a older one but I could talk them in to a younger one.

Sarah, welcome to YT. I know you are going to be a great Mom to Daisey.
To the OP, you have done a great thing for both your yorkie and Sarah. You have put the love, needs and care your Daisey first and are doing what you feel is best for her.

i will definately be sticking around for updates on my little Daisy...well...Sarah's little Daisy now :) She will give her a great home and I look forward to many happy updates and pictures.

Well, we're going to get Daisy in about five hours. We went out and got everything she would need last night and it's all ready for her! I am so excited!

And to the OP, she'll always be your little Daisy too. :)

Sarah and her husband are on their way home with their new baby! Daisy is doing well and has already captured their hearts.

I'm so sorry. :( It really does get easier. I had to rehome my 2 dogs last year....and for a while I felt like it would never feel any better...but it really does. You never stop missing them...but you do feel better. It just takes time. I'll keep you in my prayers. *hug*

I'm so happy for Sarah and her hubby! :)

I am so sorry that you miss her so much but hope it helps to know you did what was best for both of you. I am also glad you are going to stick around and see all the updates on Daisy from her new mommy. It sounds like they live fairly close to you as well which had to make it somewhat easier.

Ohhh... I just read through all the treads.. what a nice outcome. I'm sure you are are going to miss Daisy a lot.. but, it must warm your heart to know the kind of life Daisy is going to have. You did a wonderful thing, your unselfishness will be rewarded many times over...

Daisy is now settled into her new home with us! It was a little rough starting out...I don't think she liked the three hour drive. But once we got home it was much better. She was running around and playing with her toys. We got it on video and will try to figure out how to post it soon. She got so excited actually that she had an accident on the floor! lol. I think it was all just so much for her.

This morning my husband took her out and she went potty so that was a big relief. We were afraid all the newness had confused her, but she is doing great! She is also sooo quiet! She has not whined or barked...well, she gave me a couple little barks when she was really excited today and found something that caught her interest, but she is really the quietest Yorkie I have ever seen! LOL. Right now she is trying to get a blanket on our Papazan (sp?) chair and it is adorable!

Jen, I know you miss her, but I hope it helps that she is doing well. Feel free to call or email anytime if you want an update and I will try to update often on here as well.

I just came back to read this thread and I am so happy to hear that Daisy is settling in nicely! Post some pics soon.
That is VERY thoughtful of you to tell Jenn she will still always be her dog as well. So many people would take in the new dog as theirs and shut the door on the previous owner. :thumbup: to you and your hubby!!!!
Daisy sounds like she is doing wonderful thus far!:)
