I would never have posted this if I didn't see the sad little faces on these babies. They may be from a "questionable" breeder, but they too deserve good homes :(

It's confusing, isn't it? They call it their rescue page, but are selling the dogs. I hate the way they call them dogs with "defects" that are being sold "as is". :mad:

Yes, this is Jeff Dane's website. His name is on the breeder contract that is posted on the website. I have heard horrible things about this guy.

I do hope you get her. I am shocked that he is giving her for Free. It says they rescued her from the Vets, I'm wondering if they breed her first :mad:

I received a response regarding SkidBoot, that there were four other people interested in her. I emailed back that if they did not find her the absolutely perfect home that I would drive the 5 or 6 hours to pick her up.

This was the reply I got:

I will keep you in mind if she does not leave by this weekend.

Our screening process requires only that you are alive to get SkidBoot.


Can you believe this guy? I had no idea it was Jeff Dane. I emailed him back to let him know that she deserved the best home she could get and that I would commit to driving up if he would commit to holding her for me.

He has a section of his website he refers to "RESCUE" page... it is basically a webpage where he lists puppies that are older and he cannot sell them or retired breeding dogs. :( I would in no way want to give him anymroe exposure...but I saw the faces. They need homes!

What is so bad about this guy? I'm in texas and would love to get patty cake. I'm going to email him.

Did you see some of his pictures....that floor looks nasty. those poor babies.

Just do a search here on YT for Jeff Dane and you'll find out...now... with that said, I do believe they deserve to be saved :(

That is such a sad site. The dogs look sad and depressed. Also you can tell he indiscriminately breeds them b/c their coloring is all over the place. I can't believe he actually is trying to sell some of them for $10,000!!!!! He should be shut down.

He should, but, sadly, it has yet to happen. He has written to several YT members in the past accusing them of slandering his name and threatening to sue.

Maybe this is like the pet store situations... i should of walked away? Not have made this thread. Purchasing pups/dogs from him only keeps him in business. I don't know...im tied :(

IDK either. It's amazing how 'dirty' the dogs and the 'area' that they are in look. Kinda like a basement or garage or barn :confused: While, the dogs that are 'really' pricey are all dressed up nice :(

Very sad situation - especially Skidboot (for Free) - and who names a little girl "Skidboot" :(

Honestly, I would have done the same thing. It's hard to walk away when you see their little faces. I am surprised that he is not releasing the papers with some of them, though..that's one good thing

He is just a horrible breeder of a heck of a lot of different breeds. It says "Rescue" to make people want to take them under the impression that he "rescued" them..

That's outrageous! Obviously this breeder is STILL trying to make a fast buck on "retired" dogs. Poor little things - 10 & 11 years old and he wants $850 for them. They aren't looking for good homes, they are looking for the last dollar they can squeeze out of them!!!

It's sick! and it makes me sick!

Bad things about him? IMHO he's a monster! He actually advertised pups who were half rottweiler and half yorkie as "big, bad yorkies." Who would be so foolish as to buy such an unstable mix as that??? Poor little things, I wonder where they are now.
